nirvana
"conversation is a game of circles and i'm getting dizzy-- bye"
The Stone Roses should have been a choice.
And whoever voted for Metallica should burn in Hell.
NIRVANA as far as influential goes. my pick would be either radiohead/nirvana/or rage.
I voted for nirvana, because they were the best choice from the poll. i'd pick radiohead, though, if given the option. radiohead, nirvana, smashing pumpkins, u2, ratm would be my top five, probably, in that order. but you know, i'm fickle.
Upcoming: 05/25/13 - Fleetwood Mac - Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA); 05/29/13 - Arctic Monkeys - Sunshine Theater (Albuquerque, NM); 05/30/13 - The Postal Service - Red Rocks (Morrison, CO); Bjork performing Biophilia - 06/02/13 - Hollywood Palladium (Hollywood, CA); Bjork - 06/11/13 - Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA);
I gotta say all the choices are good ones. The 90's were my golden days. But, I gotta go with Jane's. They are and always will be my favorite band. I love their energy, their sound, and their awesomeness. Also . . . they are what brought me to Coachella.
I voted for Nirvana though, because seriously people?
I finally finished the latest Nirvana biography (by Everett (Jerry Thackray) True) today. It was pretty good.
They have an article about Cobain in the new Filter Magazine.
What more could be said or is Filter trying "introduce" him to the kids?
I wish some more shoegazer bands were choices.
EDIT: i said some stupid shit in this thread...

my .01 cent.
Radiohead was killing it during the 90's.. releasing
PabloHoney 1993
The Bends 1995
OK Computer 1997
also Dave Matthews Bands should get a nod for releasing these great albums also their live shows were exceptionally good:
Remember Two Things 1993
Under The Table and Dreaming 1994
Crash 1996
Before These Crowded Streets 1998
if I could go back in time and see only one concert during the 90's, it would be U2 during their Zooroopa tour.. Nirvana=meh..
