just going to post some quick pictures as i need to shower now!!

didn't get wristbands until about 330 and had to stand in the hot ass sun for that extra hour. got our wristbands and was then sent to aladdin's jr on the corner where the show was being held in some side room. it was hotter in this room than it was outside which had everyone just drenched in sweat. no vato negro but the holloys did open up and they said something to the tune of we will be opening all 3 shows for the One Day As A Lion which leaves me hungry for that third show. sign inside that room said max capacity 80 and it looked like 80 would be pushing it. they had a great set, i liked it best when zach would get back behind the keys as being in the front made the vocals just get lost in the mix they played about 10 songs. sick set, i am sure more pics will pop up but just to give you an idea of how tiny this place was here on some taken on my iphone. mind you i was front and center.

you mean the shade? very fortunate to have the building blocking the sun while waiting.

good show, but if i had known that odaal wasn't coming on until 5:30 i would have spent a little more time in newport enjoying the beautiful day instead of "chilling" in 106 degree pomona.

his comment about everyone watching the show through their tiny "tv" screens was pretty funny, especially when he said something to the effect of "just so you all remember, this is fuckin' live right now!"

actually thought about calling my friend to see if i could get on the list for the thrice show at the fox before leaving, but i had had enough of the heat and standing around for one day.

Jon Theodore is a beast on drums! I liked the energy the band brought today. Zack still has explosive energy on stage but just doesn't hop around as much. Amazing debut for ODAAL none the less and looking forward on checking them out again sometime very soon!

I'm glad Zack mentioned something about the lack of A/C, WTF were they thinking not turning it on??

even if it was on it wouldn't have made any difference with all those bodies in there.

and i'm guessing his hopping around may have been limited by the size of the stage and the equipment on it.
