Default Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2010 - San Francisco - Oct 1st-3rd

Free, as always. Golden Gate Park, as always.

Lineup still TBA, but here's some random early confirmations around the internet:

    Justin Townes Earle
    Dukes of September Rhythm Revue
    The Del McCoury Band
    Carolina Chocolate Drops
    Bad of Heathens
Dave Alivin and the Guilty Women
    Kelly Willis
    Doc Watson
    Earl Scruggs
    The Wronglers
    Railroad Earth
    Jon Randall Stewart
    Robert Earl Keen
    Stephen Marcus
    Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band
    18 South

edit: Just noticed that their website is scrolling a bunch of pictures of different artists (which didn't play last year), and a few of them match with the early confirmations, so it's safe to assume that the rest will probably be there:

    Trombone Shorty
    Earl Scruggs
    Peter Himmelman
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
    Del McCoury Band
    Roseanne Cash
    Patti Smith
    Umphrey's McGee
    Lucero
    The Felice Brothers
    Carolina Chocolate Drops
    The Avett Brothers
    Justin Townes Earle

    No clue who this is:

    I think that's Hazel Dickens.

But yeah, so far from the photos it looks like it's going to be another awesome line up!

I think I'm going to see if I can weasel this somehow. I have a bunch of stuff I've been meaning to put on Craigslist, and this is a pretty fucking good cause. It's unlikely, but maybe I'll see you there.

This event gets so packed though, it's really hard to move from stage to stage. In my opinion, it's best to pick an artist you really want to see and post up at the stage they are at for the day.

    8/16: Anthony Naples, Maxmillion Dunbar @ f8
8/18: Man Man @ The Chapel
    8/23-8/24: FYF Fest
8/30: Peaking Lights @ The Chapel
9/3: Bear in Heaven @ The Independent
    9/24 - 28: Decibel Festival
10/5: The War on Drugs, Cass McCombs @ The Fillmore
    10/18-19: Treasure Island Music Festival
