    5/23 - QOTSA - Wiltern > Boris - Echoplex
    5/24 - Boris - Echoplex
    5/30 - John Talabot - Echoplex (?)
    6/02 - Bjork - Palladium
    6/08 - The Field - El Rey (?)

Yeah it was half full glass of wine. The starting of the show was a bit mehh and it picked up by the end. I thought seeing the new songs live would make me like the new album more but it was kinda the opposite for some songs. I'm just not a fan of the whole pop aspect of the new songs. And the new drummer for the old songs didn't fit as good. Theres just something different about the drumming idk what. Like the new guy might be to precise for my taste or something. I really did like Why wont you make you your mind? now that they have the full on synths going. Still a good show I just think i like their older stuff more. But I can see them getting even bigger with this album though.
And was anybody else annoyed by the increase in number of surfer bros.

Can't knock anyone who's going to see Tame Impala live at this point. Great band that needs the following.

I feel like there are some really amazing songs on the new album as like Elephant, Feels Like We Only Going Backwards,Be Above It, Why Wont They Talk To Me? Besides those tracks I am not really into the rest of the album.I am going listen again and see if I chane my mind.

The low point of the night for me was Be Above It. I don't like that song on the album, and it's even worse live. Other than that, I thought they sounded perfect. They do sound a lot more "clean" live, but I had no problem with it. I was surprised by the crowd, though. Felt like I was at the Observatory with all of those kids that feel the need to mosh and crowd surf. Also, the security was fucking annoying. Just constantly walking around and lurking behind people to catch them smoking.

May 23 - Queens of the Stone Age - Wiltern
    June 2 - BRMC - Observatory
July 12 - Portugal. The Man - Witern
    July 24 - Postal Service - Greek
Aug 9 - Grizzly Bear - Hollywood Forever
    Sept 22 - M83 - Hollywood Bowl

Tame Impala were really awesome last night. They played like they are the biggest band in the universe, and they excelled at doing it. When they played Elephant, it went up three notches and the room exploded. You're all in for a treat tonight.

I did not find out about the show until it sold out, a real regret I missed it. What did you all think of the opening band the Amazing? Two of those dudes are also in Dungen.

Yes I just found that out on Saturday! The Amazing were pretty good. I'm listening to their music on Spotify right now actually. Our taste in music is eerily similar, Ken.

It's good to have taste, especially after seeing what horrible music won at the American Music Awards based on the votes of "the people".
