Why would Romney release his tax returns on a day where the President will talk at length about tax fairness and reform? His judgement around timing seems a bit poor.

I am sure there is a CBS Special lined up where Romney talks about his humble beginnings where he worked picking cotton commodities to trade.

Just tax the fucking religions already. I don't get how the pope has any more credibility than the people in tents with stress machines. The difference obviously is the amount of money each religion has, but in this country that's taxable speech.

You also wouldn't see a lot of blocks with 3-4 churches on them anymore. People wouldn't consider it a wise business venture and would hopefully go do something productive.

I'm all down for praying to whoever you want to, but with the exception of ministers and priests who are hired by the boards that own the establishments, it's hard to see it any other way. Priests and rabbis as a majority typically don't own their place of worship. They're employees.

I love reminding people who quote donation statistics showing that religious conservatives donate more than atheists that A)the majority of those donations are to religious organizatuions and B) most of that money is spent on the religion itself.

There's a difference between thinking organized religion is bullshit (which I would agree) and attacking the motivations of people themselves. There are people making money for running a church. It is a business. A tax-free business. The organizers who donate their time clearly care about what goes on there. The board of governors does not.
