Yeah the long set makes it that much better. I thought they were wonderful at the Pomona.

Quasi is Janet Weiss from Sleater-Kinney, her ex-husband who recorded bass parts for Elliott Smith, and Joanna Bolme who is the bassist for Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks.

Their sound makes sense for Pavement (other than the clear Malkmus connection). They're alright live. I've never seen a headline show of theirs, so I can only judge their opening abilities. I imagine that if the crowd likes them, it'll go over well.

Well shit, I've always liked Sleater-Kinney but I also seem to always overlook them. From the YouTubes I'm watching, Quasi sounds interesting. We'll see how the crowd reacts.

I saw them open for Built To Spill at Slims a couple years back and they were good. The guy in the band was throwing himself all over his keyboard and getting crazy into it.

hey guys, it's butt fucking cold up here right now (welcome to our summer) so make sure to bring layers as the fog will likely roll in (but not probably be as cool as when it did for Radiohead).

and, if you want to chill out with some other board dorks, look for Tallguy underneath the soundboard along the stone seats. that's where we're shooting for.
