My wife and I watched a Nielsen preview of some stupid-ass Trailer Park show about rednecks in South Carolina. Basically an attempt to combine the hilarity of clueless Southerners with the moronitude of aimless Jersey Shore-style sluts... can I fast forward my life to when The Learning Channel shows educational programs again?

I mean, I don't hate all reality TV - I just hate that all TV is trying to become reality TV. "Watch these people whose lives suck more than yours!" Ick.

I recorded that firefly thing, but I had never watched the show until recently. I got a little caught up watching the marathon most of the day yesterday while doing laundry, but I still have 4 more episodes to watch. the funny thing is that I watched Serenity thinking that it was just another movie only to realize after the fact that it was a continuation/finale to Firefly.

I've definitely missed Adam Baldwin though. I'll be in my bunk.

Has anyone else been inundated with this AM/PM ad? I don’t have cable, and I don’t watch that much tv online, but I swear I’ve seen this spot hundreds of times in the last month; especially as a Hulu+ preroll. They must’ve spent a small fortune on their ad buy.

And, uh, now I’m finding myself strangely drawn to the man with the drill…

I get sucked into those shows way too easily on weekends whenever there's a block of them. storage wars, parking wars, shipping wars, pawn stars, american pickers, etc...

I just watched all of the first season of American Horror Story over the last couple days. I couldn't think of any better way to get into the holiday spirit

So, Downton Abbey? Season 3 Episode 1 debuted in the US last week. [SPOILERS AHEAD]


I think Julian Fellowes is spreading himself a little thin by writing every single episode. It’s kind of a herculean task; probably should have some assistant writers at this point. I’m still a sucker for a lavish English costume drama in a grand old house, but some of the dialogue in this first new episode made me cringe. The plot was kind of ridiculous. Matthew inheriting his former fiancee’s fortune just days after Robert loses the Crawley family fortune? Larry Grey (Sybil’s former suitor) drugging Branson so that he becomes belligerent at dinner? And as much as I love Shirley MacLaine, she felt too contemporary for the role of Cora's mother. Still. It's all worth it for the 3 or 4 Dowager Countess zingers per episode.

Been Netflixing Sons Of Anarchy. Nothing better than being able to marathon a good show 6 seasons in.

And late on this one, but The IT Crowd is so good! Only wish there was more than 24 episodes. So much lulz in that show.
