i guess it was technically 2010, but "america: the story of us" was a really interesting and well done documentary series. it's on netflix instant. the series goes through major moments in american history, starting from when we first got here. there were a lot of things i'd either forgotten or didn't know.

I saw bits of that, and it was great. Good stuff about the early giant urban engineering projects, as I recall.

Thanks to Portlandia, I decided to watch an episode of Battlestar Gallactica on Netflix this weekend. Now totally hooked.

At least it's scheduled for CBS. If it were on NBC it would be a mockumentary where Sherlock is a sassy blonde who talks about her vagina a lot.

Oh good. Every time I've watched Sherlock, I've thought "Man, wouldn't this be better with worse actors AND commercials?"

So I finished season 4 of BREAKING BAD (as well as the previous 3 seasons) all in the span of 2 weeks.
ZOMG. Best show ever and etc.

Every episode was perfect. Can't wait for the next, and final, season.

I knew the show existed, but it just wasn't on my radar. Then I saw the first 3 seasons were on Netflix during a free trial i only used to see a gay movie.

Totally disagree about Breaking Bad. I watched 4 seasons and was pretty underwhelmed. It's a good show, but I blame this board for hyping it up too much.

I checked out J. J. Abrams' new thing, Alcatraz, and thought it was alright. It did taste a lot like Fringe, in the way it unfolds. I almost felt as though I had watched it before, despite it having a unique premise. I'm not too intrigued by the whole mystery yet, but I do like Sam Neill's character. Otherwise, Jorge Garcia is still playing Hurley, and Sarah Jones is just another Olivia. I think those two are the things that are pushing me away a bit. I think it would be cool if Sam Neill hunted these prisoners down by himself... The two prisoners so far were pretty awesome, though - especially the second escapee. I was actually a little shocked at seeing children being gunned down. Pretty cool.

I've been watching Fringe still. I still like it, but I'm not as excited about it as I used to be.

His other show, Person of Interest, on the other hand, is shaping up to be the greatest of the Abrams' bunch - in my opinion. So far, the mystery doesn't seem to be this big convoluted mess. Michael Emerson is a bit like Benjamin Linus from LOST, but that's really awesome. Jim Caviezel is the ultimate bad-ass. All of the cases have been really interesting, so far. I love the depiction of New York City in the show. I like where they are going with Taraji P. Henson's character. Also, I'm excited about how the whole "Elias" thing might play out. GREAT TV.

Top Gear and IT crowd are outstanding. So Archer was great tonight, they did have Burt Reynolds as a trump card but the last seconds with Pam and Cheryl has already almost made the season for me. Unsupervised is meh

I dunno... This is one of the rare instances where the hype is true.

Anyhoo, I also watched LOUIE for the first time too. Another lolarious show.
It seems AMC and FX just crank out good stuff.

Omg that kid who bullied Louie
