One of my favorites of the last decade. I still haven't seen them live.
Joy joy joy.
The Walkmen are that rare breed of band that never seems to get any more or less popular. They just kind of...coast. They've played the Fonda on each of their last two tours, here's to hoping they really explode with this album.
An interview spliced with some sound bites of the new songs and a full performance of the title track
Recorded version of the title track:
Another single, "Heartbreaker"
Neither of the above songs have me very excited for the new album. They're not bad, they're just very middle of the road to me. They lack the passion that so many of the band's past material had, and this already feels like the masses-friendly album that is going to make the band huge.
"We Can't Be Beat"
If you want my heart, take my heart
It is right here for you
i fucking love this band no like other.
B-side to Heaven
"The House You Made"
Loving this retrospective look at the Walkmen five.
I remember having previously seen/watched a number of the photos/clips shown in the video. It feels peculiar, though oddly comforting, to know that I've been closely following this band through my late teen years and twenties. I hope they will continue to make new music for many years to come.
P.S. They will be perfoming on Fallon on 6/5. I believe Michael Fassbender will be the guest interviewee for Fallon that night. Double win.

Disappointing, but I'd rather have them call it quits than put out a mediocre album if their hearts aren't in to it.
While it's a bummer to see them go, I doubt it's for good. They'll be back in 8-10 years, and be a subheadliner and every will say OMGZ my favorite band ever from the 2000's is back. ahhh, must go!
LOL... wait, whaaaat?
