Hey ladies and gents!

Myself and Andrew (bballarl) have been working for quite a while on this project of ours. It's affectionately known as Heaven Hill Recordings.

Basically, we decided that we like good music and we would like to share some of that music with the world. As a result, today we've launched our website and label, and we will be releasing songs from bands that we enjoy, and that we think you'll enjoy as well.

We're going to focus mostly on vinyl releases because, c'mon, records are awesome. We've got plans to do tapes and our first release is a digital single named Jennifer Dear, from Andrew's band, the Tet Holiday. Believe you me, it's really good. That one we're doing the pay what you want scheme, so anything you'd like to pay for it'd be appreciated.

We're not seeking to rake in the big bucks by doing this; we just want to help good bands get their music out there in a cool format working with people who like their stuff.

We have the first single up, and the other two bands that we've started working with, Th Mrcy Hot Sprngs and Craft Spells, have some samples of their stuff on the site. We're hoping to become fairly active over the summer, so keep an eye out for this space and on the site (and our facebook at this site, and we hope you like it!

Erik (menikmati) did our web design, and I think I'm speaking for Andrew as well in saying that he did an absolutely killer job, and we're super appreciative.

I'd also like to acknowledge the work of my former roommate Ryan Hubbard, who did our graphic work, both for the logo and for the Jennifer Dear single. Guy's a talented dude, and I think the stuff he did looks pretty top notch.

Echoing Bryan, Erik did a fantastic job with the web design and was a huge, huge help, so a massive thank-you to him. Also, a massive thanks to Ryan for his killer artwork. I was beyond stoked when he showed me the strawberry design for the single...I think we might do a t-shirt or something with it.

JorgeC, to answer your question...we will be attempting to have our records in Origami, Amoeba, etc. We're kind of learning as we go (and doing distribution ourselves initially), so it will be a bit of a process. But we will be sure to keep people posted on here, as well as the mailing list and other platforms.
