Flights to Mexico City are about $500. Not sure on the bus ride from Mexico city to Guanajuato. I think the whole thing could be done under $1000.
If I had Friday off........
http://www.youlovecrack.com/article/141/apparatOn that note, what are your production plans for the rest of 2010 and 2011?
My new Apparat album is almost done. It’s been a long time coming and a large struggle, but I see some light now. I’ve found the sound for the record and it’s going to surprise a lot of people. It’s definitely very removed from the dance floor. It’s very human and organic music.
...
Why don’t you play live in the UK more?
To be honest it’s a matter of request. I’d say the UK is the place where I play the least in the world. It’s not that I don’t like it there. I find the crowd generally very open minded and the clubs always have good sound systems. I just don’t get booked there very often. I’ll definitely do a UK tour next year when my new album comes out no matter what, but it won’t really be a club tour I guess.
Apparat is inspired by silence.
Jon - were you around the Bamboo stage at LiB when Apparat played Let Your Love Grow? Holy fucking shit, that man... when he drops tunes he completely destroys - manipulating and tweeking the shit out of tracks. I think I'm in love with him. I cannot get enough. I still listen to his Droga do Mekki set on a weekly basis. Fractales Pt II > Seamonkey > Let Your Love Grow is fucking incredible.
YES i was! Simply amazing! That was my first time seeing Apparat and I definately fell in love with him. Saturday night at the Bamboo stage was incredible with Nosaj Thing>Random Rab>Elliot Lipp>An-Ten-Nae>Adam Freeland>Apparat. Can't get better than that. I got that mix from you and have been listening to it nonstop! Haha. I've just been listening to a lot of Modeselektor/Apparat/Moderat lately.
you're definitely in love with him, Lil :P
I don't think that is Seamonkey. I think it is a Modeselektor track because I have a recording of theirs where they dropped the exact same track. It sounds like Seamonkey but I don't think it is.
I'm a really big fan of the Lolita Barcelona recording. Start to finish is just awesomeness.
That is most definitely Seamonkey.
Edit: it's just sped up. Then he slows it down... Devin and I analyzed this. Pretty certain that's what's going down.
Uh from their FB page....... wow

1000000% down with this, Modeselektor was terrific at virgin freefest this year. they played that engine-sounding bart B more track, and the organizers had the good sense to put wolfgang on at 2pm and have Modeselektor play only after it got dark

Moderat is playing Bloc in England March 11-13. Time to start compiling a list of scheduled shows so we can figure out the probability of them playing Coachella.
