wow what a shitty lineup. i mean, sure they have a handfull of good bands but theyre spread pretty thin across 3 days. too much local hip hop. ill probably go friday and then maybe drop in for blitzen trapper on saturday

MGMT, Atmosphere, Dead Weather = not interested.

We couldn't even see the stage for Sonic Youth last year and could barely hear them, I don't even want to think about what the crowd situation will be like for MGMT or Dead Weather.

I've never heard of practically anybody on the undercard, if I get introduced to anything intresting I might go for the day then split before the end. It's pretty cheap. I do like those veggie hot dogs too.

Eh, I'm going all 3 because it's not like I have anything better to do. Plus more shit's going to get announced, plus I like drinking and this gives me a legitimate excuse to get shitty.

my thoughts exactly. and the undercard isn't impressive enough to make me brave the horrible logistical problems block party always presents... but i'll definitely hang out even if I don't go to the shows in hopes of sniffin' down some fun shows nearby.

    I did last year.

*somewhat, because Neumo's was so crowded that if Corinna hadn't bushwhacked through the crowd to get us to the bar, I don't know if me and PvK would have even gone in.

If you hear of any good basement shows or whatever let me know.

Logistically last year was kind of crazy, and it's hard to put that many people in just a few streets, but since I live so close I can always leave and come back or just leave. It's hard to argue with $60.

I will be there Friday no matter what. Holy Fuck->Yeasayer->MGMT would be so much fun! I don't think I will go the other two days though. When do tickets go on sale? I imagine Friday will sell out almost instantly.

Looks like there's a presale on now for single days, but I haven't done any hunting because I'm in love with this lineup and bought my tickets the instant I saw it.

I'm surprised about the lack of love for it so far. Blonde Redhead, !!!, Atmosphere, Yeasayer, Holy Fuck, Dead Weather, and lots more for $60? I'm giddy.

Now to figure out the mess I have in my lap. Already bought tix to see the Dead Weather @ the Crystal Ballroom in Portland and bought train tix too. Dammit.

Amtrak's pretty good about cancellations. The last time I cancelled a ticket, they gave me the option of full credit toward a future ticket or a refund less 10%.

I just noticed Friday has Bear In Heaven too. 23 bucks for Yeasayer, Holy Fuck, MGMT and Bear in Heaven is just too good to pass up. $60 is actually a great deal for the whole weekend, but I can't make it Saturday or Sunday and Friday just so happens to be my favorite day.

Last year's crowd was beyond sh!tty and I see no way that this year's line-up will bring about any improvement.

Having said that, if we are still living in Seattle when this crapfest rolls around again, we may do Friday (Yeasayer, Holy Fuck and Bear in Heaven are worth $23 to us).

Now I know why Erika and I are getting screwed out of a Seattle Holy Fuck show this weekend.

How long is the presale on for?

EDIT: Also, what time does this fest usually end each night? I might have to drive home right after.

Around 12:30, there's still noise ordinance stuff to contend with, which totally interfered with the Japandroids' set last year.

I myself am only going Friday... and it looks like I will be at the mainstage all day. I do find it weird how Holy Fuck is playing before MGMT and not Yeasayer. I thought Yeasayer would make for a much better transition. Oh well. Still going to be a fun day.

EDIT: Also, I just noticed it looks like Yeasayer get an hour and half. That is pretty awesome.
