There we are.
There we are.
I have a hard time with the guys this season. None of them are really manly enough to partner the women they are dancing with. They are suppose to appear to be in love in most of the routines and they mostly look like little boys who think girls have cooties.
I did enjoy the Alex and Twitch routine though.
i still need to watch last night's, but i <3 alex!
that gif still makes me shudder, brandon.
and steve is right about muscle control. i looked up a bunch of remote kontrol videos over the weekend and they are AWESOME! i want to bring them out to a party lol.
I like watching his little yamakule go flying off.
I think this is even more apparent than normal with the all star format, in which you have these power house females who are mostly more mature since their respective seasons partnered with more youthful male dancers who are not really used to partnering at all. I think it's been mostly evident in all of Anya's routines, she is a W-O-M-A-N (Sing it like that broadway number!) and none of these little boys have been able to lead her.
I think with the old format it was a little less of a concern as most or more of the dancers had a closer level of experience.
On the other hand, and I believe we have seen it a few times this season, I think the all stars can really bring the level of the new conestants dancing up to something stellar.
I feel the same way, I am on the fence about it. I do love having the all stars back and seeing some of my old favorites is awesome. I just have a hard time buying into these little boys with these strong female personalities. The guys have always been smaller, less manly guys in seasons past except for a few muscle bound guys from last season. But it just wasn't as blaringly obvious before.
I also find it hard to watch the new kids because my eyes are always drawn to the all stars.
i always like to picture the chicks dancing naked...then that girls strap broke last night. so close...
The Twitch and Alex hip-hop routine was fucking amazing. Alex might be my favorite. I hate the tapper, what is her name Melinda... right? She should've been sent home wayyyy long ago. Anyway, Alex really looked like a hip-hop dancer up there.
i'm almost finished, but i think the breaker actually did a decent job with anya. no one has even tried to connect with her yet, but he did. even if he's not a great dancer, he was looking in her face & smiling the whole time.
i really wish melinda would go home. she's pretty worthless. she's not animated and isn't even that great a dancer. her routine was pretty sub-par.
the solos are pretty boring, but i liked billy's.
Loved Billy's solo. Every little thing in it was tied to the music. It was so quirky. AND THE BACKBEND.
My name is Becca. Hi.
I missed that, I would have hated her sooner as well.
I haven't really picked a favorite yet. I said the same thing about the breaker last night, he was the only one who actually looked like he wasn't scared of Anya. The rest of the boys all look like they want to hide from her.
I also like the b-boy. I think his routine with Anya was really good. He is an incredible performer, but he technically needs to step it up. He will be around for a few more weeks because of his personality. Hopefully he picks up some more skill along the way.
I am still forgetting names. I really liked the routine with the girls whose strap broke on her. I generally love Neil, but the routine was really steamy. I think she is my favorite for the girls.
^Yeah, I didn't get why the judges were giving her slack, I thought she looked every bit the the sexy screen siren circa the 40s/50s. And held her own with what could have been a disasterous wardrobe malfunction.
i agree the blonde phoenician was great. it was the first routine i really thought she shined in though, but she did a wonderful job. and the breaker definitely isn't a great dancer, but i love his enjoyment and general lack of fear.
and yes! twitch & alex was AMAZING! omg! alex ROCKED that shit! and i LOVE that song, it seems so fun to get low to.
i'm making a youtube playlist of my favourite breakers and poppers across the season. more suggestions please!
Love this show! Finally, Vegas week starts.

Who is this guy that looks like Ryan Gosling? They need to show more of him. Yum.
Cyrus is a dead ringer for Reggie Bush. Look-alike season.
