    Default Glastonbury anyone?

Curious if any Coachella go-ers are going to Glastonbury 2010. It's a solid lineup, the trip is going to be fucking insane though.

    Is this a fucking joke?

If not, how the hell did you miss "The Official 2010 Glastonbury Coachella Board Meetup" thread? It's at the top of this very same forum you posted in. It has 2,754 replies. I'm sure it will answer any questions you could possibly have.

    Stop being an idiot. Thanks.

It's not 2011 anymore, bud. I said "next year".

Tickets go on sale October 7th and you must be registered by Sept 30th.

They also throw you the bone of giving you the headliners before the other payment is due, if you even get a ticket.

I might be. Depends on how much effort I exert on planning this trip. I will be in Sweden living with family during the Summer. So who knows.

    Arctic Monkeys/the Rolling Stones/Mumford ???

Earlier this year, the ARCTIC MONKEYS frontman revealed he’d been wishing the band could have another crack at headlining Glastonbury.
They’ve now been signed up as the headline act for this year’s Friday slot.

When asked last month what was left for the band to achieve, Alex said: “There’s a lot left, yeah. I’d really like another shot at headlining Glastonbury.
“I don’t think we got that quite right when we did it in 2007.”

It’s a good signing for MICHAEL EAVIS and his daughter EMILY – the band put on a great performance at last year’s Olympics and are unlikely to disappoint.
The organisers have sorted a good selection for this year’s Pyramid Stage.

Festival-goers should be happy with the diverse mix between The Arctic Monkeys, THE ROLLING STONES and MUMFORD & SONS.

A source said: “There’s still a way to go until the festival so anything could happen but the Arctic Monkeys have been given the Friday slot. Festival bosses know that they’re a good group to get the crowd going.”

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival are personalised with a photo of the ticket holder and cannot be transferred to another recipient.

If you are unable to come to the Festival, and require a refund for your ticket, please contact Seetickets on 0844 412 4626 before midnight May 3rd 2013. A £10 administration charge will be retained from all refunded tickets.

You may wish to purchase the optional TicketPlan Protection under our Master Policy, so that a refund of the value of your Ticket (including Booking Fee) can be provided to you if you cannot attend the Festival due to the circumstances set out in the Terms and Conditions. TicketPlan Protection is subject to an additional £4.75 per person when paying the balance for your tickets.

TicketPlan Protection provides cover for a range of unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you being able to attend the Festival. To read a summary of the Terms and Conditions please visit http://glastonbury.seetickets.com/co...cketplan-terms

Please note that the TicketPlan Protection policy will not cover the loss of your ticket, or any circumstances which could be considered foreseeable (e.g. examinations, pre-arranged medical procedures or work commitments).

Alternatively, you may wish to check whether your ticket is covered by your own personal insurance.
Tickets are non-refundable after the deadline of May 3rd. However, if you bought the TicketPlan Protection for your ticket and if your reason for not being able to come is covered by the policy, a claim can be made by contacting the Ticketplan helpline on 0844 884 1031

Any ticket deposits for which the balance has not been paid by April 8th 2013 will be automatically refunded to the card on which they were booked; with a £10 administration charge retained and all tickets will be cancelled. Ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure your ticket balance is paid on time.

Unfortunately, if tickets are delivered to ticket holders, and subsequently lost, destroyed or misplaced, we cannot replace them.
The tickets are reserved with a deposit and if you decide you can't go before the balance is due, then you just don't pay it.

What is the best way to get aftermarket tickets? I know Glasto does the photo match thing to reduce scalping but there has to be a way. I've only seen VIP tix at about $2k/each (1200 pounds). PM me if necessary.

There is no way at all. Except for the resale which happens in April. So good luck with that.

Any tips for a first time Glastonbury attendee? I'm trying to figure out what I should start buying now or if it's better to just buy supplies there. (rain boots, camping supplies and any other necessities) Also what would be a good price on a ticket to London from LAX at that time? Thanks!

Probably better getting practical stuff you need in the US, it will cost twice as much in England-especially London. Try comparing the price of something like Levi 501's in US and UK. Also, with many cheaper tents you will want to waterproof seal the seams. Seen so many people get waterlogged at UK festivals because they don't do this. That needs to be done before you use the tent.

As for flight, I would consider flying to Birmingham or Manchester rather than London if you are going to wait.

Besides the stones this lineup isn't better than coachella either.

Really with the sighs and mehs? I love this line-up. Just at first glance, there's Elvis Costello, HAIM, Portishead, Chic, Public Enemy, Tom Tom Club, Toro y Moi, Cat Power, Django Django, Michael Kiwanuka, Solange, Nas, Sinead O'Connor and Lucinda Williams.

This would be a fantastic companion piece to Coachella; tons to see at both, and virtually no overlap between the acts I'd be most excited to see.
