They were much more experimental (and face painting themselves) in 06 than when i saw them in 2009 at the Wiltern. I prefer how they do it now.
No. This was my first Coachella and I was a huge New Order/Gang of Four fan at the time. By the way, Peter was wearing all baggy adidas clothing (like, wtf?) and it just wasn't up to par in my eyes. I was hoping to catch some New Order songs by Bad Lieutenant this year but damn that volcano!
Was MSTRKRFT better in 2007 or 2009?
MSTRKRFT in 2007 was a big highlight....place was going nuts....in 2009, i was going nuts.

MSTRKRFT 2007 was unbelieveable. Their act singlehandedly got me into EDM. Place was definitely going crazy.
Yeah, they were a fun way to spend 3pm.
Yes.
No. Disappointing.
Yeah, really regret leaving early to give Wilco a second chance. Mainly I wanted a good spot for Weezer, and we all know how Weezer was.
Hahaha. I think the only people in the world that still remember this band are us, and it's only because someone made the most epic fail by watching them instead of Daft Punk.

Gang Gang Dance was unreal! I'll be a fan for life after that.This. I wish I saw Gang Gang Dance, still haven't done so. I wanted to end the night with friends, now it is always what I want to see whether alone or not. MSTRKRFT probably was the worst choice possible that night.

Were The Horrors any good in 09. Putting them against My Bloody Valentine was such a shame.
Mstrkrft in 07 killed it! Here is a great video i found of one of the high points ... Such an epic moment
Replying a bit late, but FC Kahuna in 2003 were actually pretty decent. They opened the Sahara (one of the years it was laid out completely differently). The entire inside of the tent was in the shade so it was relatively cool inside, and the majority of the crowd was spread out either sitting with their group or dancing near their group. It was a fun way to start the day with some quality, mellow, "live" EDM. Nothing to go ape shit over, but lots of fun.
having caught an MBV gig prior to their Coach set, i opted to see the Horrors instead. i was somewhat mesmerized, thought the Horrors were on point. the singer was pissed off though that we were there wasting time w/ his band instead of watching MBV. they wrapped up w/ enough time for us all to haul our asses over to the main stage to face the white noise.
Was Sidestepper any good in 2004?
Was Black Star or MF Doom good in 2005?
Was Flying Lotus good in 2009?
Was James Davis good in '07?
