They were much more experimental (and face painting themselves) in 06 than when i saw them in 2009 at the Wiltern. I prefer how they do it now.

No. This was my first Coachella and I was a huge New Order/Gang of Four fan at the time. By the way, Peter was wearing all baggy adidas clothing (like, wtf?) and it just wasn't up to par in my eyes. I was hoping to catch some New Order songs by Bad Lieutenant this year but damn that volcano!

Eh, they got kinda linear halfway into their set. Some people would probably disagree with me though.

2007, electro was nice and fresh. It was also where i first saw the beauty of the high-energy daytime Sahara set.

Their 2007 set fucking rocked. Their 2009 set left much to be desired. I wish I would have went to see Mastodon or Gang Gang Dance instead. Hell, even The Killers.

I remember them being pretty good. It was a long time back though and I only watched a small portion of the set. I don't think there was too big of a crowd watching them either.

MSTRKRFT 2007 was unbelieveable. Their act singlehandedly got me into EDM. Place was definitely going crazy.

Yeah, really regret leaving early to give Wilco a second chance. Mainly I wanted a good spot for Weezer, and we all know how Weezer was.

Hahaha. I think the only people in the world that still remember this band are us, and it's only because someone made the most epic fail by watching them instead of Daft Punk.

This. I wish I saw Gang Gang Dance, still haven't done so. I wanted to end the night with friends, now it is always what I want to see whether alone or not. MSTRKRFT probably was the worst choice possible that night.

Definitely. Should have stayed at glass candy and stuck around for gang gang dance instead of wasting the end of the night on the chems and mstrkrft both failing.

I was on the rail for The Go! Team and wasn't really sure if I should stay for Scissor Sisters or leave and see someone else. Let's say it was the best decision ever and the best way to end the weekend in 06

Were The Horrors any good in 09. Putting them against My Bloody Valentine was such a shame.

Replying a bit late, but FC Kahuna in 2003 were actually pretty decent. They opened the Sahara (one of the years it was laid out completely differently). The entire inside of the tent was in the shade so it was relatively cool inside, and the majority of the crowd was spread out either sitting with their group or dancing near their group. It was a fun way to start the day with some quality, mellow, "live" EDM. Nothing to go ape shit over, but lots of fun.

having caught an MBV gig prior to their Coach set, i opted to see the Horrors instead. i was somewhat mesmerized, thought the Horrors were on point. the singer was pissed off though that we were there wasting time w/ his band instead of watching MBV. they wrapped up w/ enough time for us all to haul our asses over to the main stage to face the white noise.
