I do that in pretty much any public bathroom. The women in this office building are so gross. I wish I knew who it is that squats and gets piss all over the toilet seat AND FLOOR.

Your mouth has more germs in it than somebody else's urine. Using paper towels to open and move things doesn't protect you against anything.

The office here in town that I don't have to go into day to day. Unless I need to conduct an interview in person or attend certain meetings. Then I go in.

It has begun. Our department manager told one of my co-workers to remove a union-related pin from her cubicle wall, and now everyone around her is all riled up. That co-worker is threatening to buy all red starbursts to set out (red is our union color -- we wear red on Thursdays in honor of a union member who died a while back). I have a union pin in my drawer, so I guess I could pin that to my wall in solidarity.

Not sure if this cold is effecting me, but did I come off as a bitch? Was the underlining and bold red text warranted?

I don't know the situation, but it seemed like a normal question. Her reply should have just been "No, it will be fine." Everything else was unnecessary bitchiness.

I sent out a mass email a few days ago asking to have time sheets submitted to me no later than noon today. I sent her a reminder email at 12:15.

I wish I could! Downside to working human resources is that you can't speak your mind in various colors and fonts.

when i cc people, and i ask them about it a couple of days later i get "oh, i wasn't in the "To" portion so i filed it in a folder".

    Robin,

I agree with others, she's a bitch. First part I would have been okay with, but the "Relax" was just dumb.

in my world, Cc means that you are being kept in the loop, but are not making any decisions or taking any action. that's my view on it at least. i am pretty good about using it that way, but most arbitrarily seem to place names in the "to" and "cc" fields.

My boss writes me e-mails in which the entire content of what he wants to tell me is just written in the subject header and just leaves the body blank. it makes me crazy.

My mother does this, but repeats what she's put in the subject headliner in the body of the email. She also recently learned how to text me and for some reasons her texts arrive as multi-media text messages with a subject headliner that is exactly the same as the content of the text.

I agree with Drinkey, unless there is some history of you (Robin) constantly pestering this person in the past about approvals or something, it did seem excessive and bitchy.

There was this one other time I kept bothering her about her time sheet. They're usually due at 5pm the day prior, but I didn't get one from her. After a couple emails and phone calls, she finally sends it to me near noon the day of close. But I have never "pestered" her about approvals before.

By law, we have to pay an employee if the employee worked. I would have to estimate the hours worked by looking at previous time sheets, and any adjustments would have to be made on the following pay period.
And everyone else does submit their sheets in a timely fashion. I always send out a reminder email a few days prior AND put it in their outlook calendars with a reminder pop-up.
