Is it no desire to drink or just to lazy to get your ass to the liquor store for some PBR?

I think it's kind of lame.

If they chose to do it on their own, that would be cool. But for the general public to "challenge" them in to doing it is dumb.

    IMO

I think just the opposite. They do press and play dumb saying they had no clue it would cause the flack that it did. So they meet and say, yes that's a positive thing for the community and the nation. You can't buy that kind of publicity. Some fuck on Fox even said, "That shows the RS is in demise and will be gone some time this year. Rags are going away so it would be a coup in some aspects. If you want to be negative, this could also be the time then to say, "We give and are folding up." It would look good in bankruptcy court and they could blame politics on their problems. How apropo if you think about it? Anyone on the board want to bet a beer they will be around this time next year because I will. ... cr****

I don't think RS ever claimed to be surprised by the reaction. It was a calculated choice to use that cover. Why should they have to pay anything for just doing their job?

They did do their job. Just a bit better then they thought. Take advantage of a situation I say. Otherwise, it's lose lose. I have no problem at all with the pic, but I seem to be in a very small minority. It would be a business discussion even for the RS. I'm a bit surprise and haven't heard THAT song even once (I won't post it) cr****

    What a slow news day:

S Smith on F is arguing with a Brit saying that William said he was a heavy baby, and 41 seconds later (they fucking timed it I guess), William said tiny. Those two words are incongruous."

    Brit replies:

"You are having a problem with the accent. He said, I believe, tardy (which fit the reply a lot better)."

Gotta fill 24/7 news ... cr****

I mean you have the same people who say the Pledge of Allegiance on the Fourth of July and talk about the Declaration of Independence and the Founding Fathers and the Constitution like it were holy writ..

getting all excited over more royal fucking?

if the brits want to waste time and money on this, that's their business. But the notion of an American giving a rat's ass about another inbred gaptoothed overprivileged assfucker is beyond me. Our entire country, our entire way of life, is founded on the notion that "royalty" is a fraudulent concept and that real power belongs in the hands of the people. We fought a war to toss these assholes out of our country.

Yet two major US broadcast network news anchors spend the week in London awaiting Kate Middleton's vagina to spit forth another one of these things. This is conceptually as treasonous as anything Edward Snowden may have done. Moreso, probably; at least Snowden was working to put power back in the hands of the people rather than with a privileged secret few.

and of course the fucking board hippie is the leader of the royal fanclub on here, probably too drug-addled and downright stupid to even see his own hypocrisy.

    While I'm here:

A while ago on the morning F and Friends gal in the middle of the really dumb guys is going to commercial. The Doobie Bro's are coming on for a live tune and start playing a song as a lead into the commercials. Woman says,"Here's a song we all know and grew up with: "China GROOVE". As they cutout, in the back round you hear someone say GROVE, GROVE.

I think Americans taking interest in world affairs is a good thing. I mean, yes, but still.

The England of today with its constitutional monarchy is a far cry from the England under King George III. And the problem wasn't really that we were ruled by a King but because we didn't have anyone in Parliment, bad taxes, etc.

Plus Royals are fun when you don't have to support/be oppressed by them.
