Yeah, I've been holding out because I am worried about that, BUT my younger daughter did request to watch The Exorcist again recently (so we did). Although we do not bring up our children as religious, so The Exorcist may be more frightening to those who have had a religious upbringing (I still will never use a Ouija board because my old church told me I could get attacked by demons).

I don't know. I tried to explain the plot line of The Shining to them and they seemed intrigued. We'll see.

I grew up in a "church" home so the Exorcist was really terrifying to me - and it was one I didn't see until I was in my teens. I still turn the volume down during some parts because I can't bear to listen to some of the dialogue.

I am 39 and don't watch scary movies. I also still sleep with either a night light or the tv on in the background.

I rarely have nightmares, so I am okay with scary movies, although I remember having trouble going to sleep for two weeks after I watched The Ring.

And I do have vague recollections of watching censored versions of The Shining on cable TV as a child and being horribly fascinated with the twin girls and the wall of blood. I had no idea what the story was about, but I remember the frightening imagery.

I really enjoy horror movies too, but some are really terrifying and upsetting no matter how old you are. I thought the Ring was just really creepy. Paranormal Activity was pretty scary too. We watched it at home in the afternoon and both had trouble sleeping that night.

I don't know, when I was a kid, I was so scared of ADS for horror movies, partially because my mom would try to shield them from me. Once at the drive in, they sandwiched a trailer for Suspiria between 2 Disney flicks, I only saw the first few seconds before my eyes were covered and I spent years imagining it to be far more horrific than it is. I think if maybe I had watched one or two, I wouldn't have grown up so afraid of them.

Actually, I did watch stuff like The Abominable Dr Phibes on TV as a very young kid, and lots of gory stuff like The Fly as a teenager, but for some reason I was always terrified of straight-up horror movies until I watched as an adult. I still don't like certain kinds of slasher movies just because it exploits a thing that could really happen and they are usually very misogynistic. But I think kids should be able to watch supernatural things like The Exorcist & The Shining, or monster movies. If they watch one and don't like it, fine, but if they've watched The Exorcist, I don't see why not.

As long as we are on the topic of insanely hot women from the 60's, I caught Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice last night, which is mainly a lot of hippie free love shit that chickens out at the end, but it does give Natalie Wood an excuse to walk around in bikinis and lingerie and just look adorable in general.

If you have read the anonymous posting of accusation hatred and destruction...defamation
etc...regarding me, here is the truth....I am not only a Christian minister, i am a prophetess to the
nation and God speaks to other nations as well through me. The anonymous heathen, pagan whatever
they are..have actually rented from me, and done all to stop my services and take over the seven
bedroom abandoned group home, I refurbished. i HAVE TRIED TO HELP AND THIS IS WHAT
THEY DO TO ME...TRY TO DESTROY MY LIFE MISSIONS...They have jailed me with the
police who are their friends, they seem to have there own secret police to arrest people for painting
rooms and lighting a candle and enoying religious freedom. Many people who stand up for their rights
have been arrested through the centuries. One man who writes these was boiling mice in my kitchen
and chanting to satan...why would he move in with me ( a christian minister)iunder the guise of....if he
is a satanist...he can be whatever he wants and so can I...but he disguised saying...oh its ok with me if
you are a christian and meet with God in your living room.
The other man I rented to ...a supposed computer geek, started playing loudly , I love satan songs,
while I began my worship.......so this is the real story...I am seeking goodwilled people, not folks
trying to takeover christian worship places and destroy peoples reputation as best they can
indiscreetly......We christians have rights...unfortunately these people are very hateful and portray me
as a bad person...they arrested Jesus Christ....everyone who is arrested is not a bad person.....these
people are clearly hateful and have taken over my rental....until court, now this poor man who lived
on South shore boulevard, asking me for help and a place to get himself back on his feet , has lied to
Clackamas County court filing a staking order saying I was praying in tongues and told him that he
must die....not Christian lingo...So.....this is the truth.....God says it is to be a refuge like an oasis for
people starting over......any people want to help me...I need help these people have beat me down
terribly, I am a good person and I love the Lord.....I trust good, true goodness will come back to me,
as I have goodwill.....the truth is now told. God bless you all, and I pray the US government would
