I was supposed to move all my stuff from Minneapolis to Duluth tomorrow but I'm starting this overnight gig for the next 9 straight nights. Moving is a bitch. Gf and I are closing on a house Aug 21.

So that Harry Potter ride at Universal Studios (the one that opened 2 years ago, not the new expansion that opened this month) is fucking awesome! Probably one of the best theme park rides in a long time. I'm sure Disney wants to top this badly, or at least emulate it.

We're getting new carpet today and tomorrow in our tiny apartment, and having to move everything between both rooms is such a pain in the ass I wish I was just moving instead.

Moving isn't bad when stairs, right entry ways, bad weather, and a shitty moving partner aren't involved.

I have yet to experience that, but Transformers is really fucking great too.

But there is something to be said about a monstrous physical attraction like Radiator Springs Racers at Disneyland, which is quite breathtaking.

The Harry Potter ride makes it seem like you are in this huge, massive world and VERY high above the ground, even though you are probably always only a few feet from the floor.
It's similar to Spiderman/Transformers rides as far as the huge screens combined with live set pieces/animatronics and moving in different scenes, but the ride vehicle and movements are completely different. It lived up to the hype.

I really want to head to Disneyland to do the Cars ride. They may bring that over here to Disney World and/or expand the Star Tours ride to it's own Star Wars land.

I really, really enjoy chattering about theme park rides. I hope to make it to Orlando for the first time within the next couple years.

So, like, what exactly were the Adams Family?
I mean, were they monsters? Undead? Regular humans? I mean, there's obviously the supernatural element with a hand that's got a mind of its own and a walking blob of hair, but other than that, they seem human-ish.

I could google this, but where's the fun in that?

I tried to buy a 6 foot surfboard today and the guys at Froghouse wouldn't sell it to me. They said I needed an 8 foot board and then some dick said I needed a 12 foot board and so I got in an augment with them and everyone was laughing at me.

Well, any good salesman seeing someone with your situation would have probably done the same thing. I wouldn't want someone dying off something I sold them because they were handicapped.

I don't know how big you are or your level of expertise of surfing but a 6 foot and below board are really hard to stand up on for a big guy or a novice surfer. Either way fuck the Froghouse I always hated that place. If you are looking for a board to begin on I have an old 6'3" board I would be willing to sell you.

Unit, you enema, you know exactly how big I am you've seen me in tinychat a bunch of times. I charged out with an older dude yesterday who made friends with us and he went out with one of those 150$ softtop boards from Costco. And he bullied everyone.

I used to surf a 6 foot board when I was a kid but stopped at around 15 or so and now at 32 I'm picking it up again. As of yesterday I'm only surfing 2 foot breakers next to the shore. I mean ill body surf the bigger waves but I'm taking this slowly.

We should paddle out some time soon dude.

Yeah I've seen your upper half head not to mention you can't really tell on those cameras. But yeah I don't surf anymore, hence the board for sale. Not to mention I'm like 95% sure I'm moving to the bay area in a few weeks anyways.
