did any one else notice that on the myspace homepage there are presidential candidates in the "cool new people" section?

it's a new candidate every time you refresh the page
I will pay someone to drive to my house to rip the rest of my toenail off. At the very least, I will hug you. This is serious, people. 'Twas kicked at a BBQ earlier this afternoon and is now hanging on by nothing more than a cuticle and a dream.
Please.
Do the door-string thing usually reserved for loose teeth.
Hmmm. Could work. Or leave another part of me injured...
I'm willing to risk it.
Mount, how can you be so selfish? How dare you think about tents when your fellow Phoenician is five days away from entering the magical world of music and ass with nine toenails!
It's on. That flask holds the gnarliest Reposado ever. Though I have a feeling this is gonna end in vomit. And I'll still have a fucked up toe...
Alright Mount, the toenail is officially off. Not that the tequila did anything other than give me a headache. I did cheers you though...for your support and all.
You may continue discussing tents and other things irrelevant.
When I was somewhere between 5-7 years old, I ran into my closet door and shattered my big toe toenail. It was all cracked n shit. It completely grew back.

That sounded like a Ken post. A tiny little story in three sentences.

A truck driver I know just had an entire pallet (boxes and boxes) of snickers bars fall off of his truck. They are now unsellable and have to be eaten.![]()
This is a recent book review for a book called "Everybody Hurts: The Essential Guide to Emo Culture". I don't even know where to begin.
Everybody Hurts: An Essential Guide to Emo Culture
by Leslie Simon and Trevor Kelley
Nonfiction
Is “emo” a musical genre, a fashion trend, or a state of mind? For many, it’s not just a kind of music, but a personal style and a way of interacting with the world. The new emo reference bible, Everybody Hurts: An Essential Guide to Emo Culture, takes an informative and entertaining look at the ins and outs of emo life. It’s everything you wanted to know about emo but were afraid to ask.
Written by two “O.G. emophiliacs” who celebrate emo even as they gently mock it, Everybody Hurts covers everything from the history of emo to show and festival etiquette to “the art of taking the perfect MySpace picture.” There are also sections devoted to emo idols, haircuts, books, films, magazines, and food, plus plenty of emo fashion do’s and don’ts: “do fasten your belt on the side” to celebrate “emo’s appreciation for asymmetry,” “do layer” because “nothing says emo like a cardigan over a hoodie over a tank top over a T-shirt,” “don’t put on a band’s T-shirt immediately after you buy it at the merch table,” and don’t “wear girls’ jeans if you don’t fit into girls’ jeans.” The authors also provide tips for writing blogs, instant messaging, and using MySpace to stay in touch with show buddies.
Everybody Hurts may not be a book you’ll read in one sitting, but it is great reading, and it’s destined to become a staple in any emo music lover’s book collection (shelve it next to The Perks of Being a Wallflower). Growing up can be hard if you’re emo, but this book will help you get it right-and maybe even laugh through your tears.
Have you seen Spiderman 3 yet? Apparently, when Spiderman dresses emo, he's also EVIL. Don't dress emo, or you will turn evil as well, apparently. His hair looked kinda cute brushed forward though.
I hope that's not a bad spoiler. The movie pretty much sucked.

that's strange. i've never met or heard of any individual who was proud to be emo, or even called themselves that. i get the impression that it's a dirty word, so it's weird that there's an emo handbook.
I don't think it's a "have you seen it yet" situation. It's not really on the list. Probably on an airplane or something someday, or at an electronics store on a bunch of screens.
I have kids, so these comic book movies are basically the only adult-ish movies I get to see anymore. I keep hoping they'll be good (please oh please let Harry Potter be good this year!), but a lot of times they're bad.

I'm glad someone else said it. Is he actually drunk this time?
