    Fear not, it was.

    Hey, Lisa Loeb!

And as noted, "unironically brilliant" is what we're going for. I mean, no judging or nothing, but... Right Said Fred? Shakespear's Sister is our benchmark here, people.

Nice. I still love that band. I've seen them a few times and they always put on a good show. Crazy Life is an incredible song.

coincidentally, they just announced a few weeks back that they're reforming, re-recording this song and doing live shows. Not sure if there's any other new material coming. But all the same... Republica for 2011?

Although, even Right Said Fred was a better call than ATB.

I'm curious about which songs you don't think belong. I would say 90% of this stuff was on the charts and mainstream.

I don't think a lot of these videos go with the spirit of the thread. I think Gemma was going for 90's pop songs that people genuinely think are good. I think many people are posting ironic videos (one-hit wonders and the like).

I have posted only songs I genuinely like. I think the thing with mainstream successful tracks is some people can genuinely like them (even by guilty pleasure) while others think they're ironic or shitty.
