Late spring? Uh oh.Seems like Bat For Lashes new album will be out in late spring, so let us talk you
through the major news we got in the last period!
A new album was hinted by Natasha when she accepted her Ivor Novello Award last
year, saying " I am writing the new album right now and I'm so excited to be creating a
whole new world!! Cups of tea, piles of books and musical instruments abound. I am
also making some short films which i hope to share with you at some point."
Some have also hinted she may have recruited Beck after their collaboration for
"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" soundtrack, while the participation of David Kosten,
who produced both Fur & Gold and Two Suns seems to be confirmed.
Interesting facts about the production of the successor of Two Suns were shared
this summer, when Natasha in an interview to pitchfork said she went away to Italy
at the beginning of this year with a bunch of musicians and was working on choral parts
for men. "In Italy, I worked out these male choral parts with this choral master that are
based on ancient intervals and also something like James Blake-- just trying to work out
what those connections are between the past and the present."
While waiting, eager fans can have a taste of Bat For Lashes new sound on youtube, where you can find a few videos of the
Sydney's concerts where they performed a new song, maybe off the new record?
Late spring does not bode well. Two Suns was actually out before Coachella 2009, but she played something closer to home that weekend and didn't come to America until two months later. Unless she does a second year of touring for the next album, I kind of doubt this will ever happen. Of course, stranger things do happen so here's hoping, and if not, at least she'll finally be around next year again![]()

Update.
http://szigetnews.com/bat-for-lashes...m-sziget-2012/We wrote a while ago, quoting the EMI Hungary site, that Bat For Lashes will perform at Sziget 2012.
Since the news article has since disappeared from the label’s site, we tried to confirm it with the band. Here’s the answer we got:
[...] Bat for Lashes currently has no confirmed live dates for 2012 and any official announcements relating to any future dates will be posted on the Bat for Lashes website.[...]
Hopefully, a Sziget 2012 date will be confirmed soon.
I'm hearing that Way Out West is another one.

I imagine that one will do well on vinyl.
Weird how the only Bat for Lashes threads are in rumors.

The lack of attention has always surprised me. Her music is quite unique and her performances are fantastic.

Great-sounding BCC session at an hour into this. I'm surprised the album hasn't leaked yet. Come on people, it has to be floating around somewhere.
