It's not bad.

This thread confuses me.
The season seems pretty typical to me. Tucson's summer schedule is actually better than normal, imo. Usually we get nothing during the summer months in the Old Pueblo.
Oh yeah Caribou is next week. I gotta listen to them.
edit: holy jesus. If it's not sold out yet, I totally want to see Caribou.

This was last year's June through August for me, all shows in Phoenix except Wilco and Los Campesinos in Tucson:
Courtney Marie Andrews
Dungen/Woods
Los Campesinos!/Girls
No Age/Michelle Blades
Andrew Jackson Jihad/Bomb The Music Industry!
Found Magazine/Watson Twins
Wilco/Grizzly Bear
Handsome Furs
Constantines/Crystal Antlers/I Was A King
OK, 2008 was slow, thought not as bad as 2010 looks like it's gonna be:
Colorstore/Miniature Tigers
Gomi/Jack Ripper
No Age/Abe Vigoda
Dosh/Anathallo/Terminal 11
Local H/Photo Atlas/Gomi
[Though I missed Islands and Boris being out of town]
2007:
Okkervil River/Via Maris
Veils/Violet Wild
St. Vincent/Death Vessel
Des Ark/South Mountain Lights
Battles/Ponytail
Thunderbirds Are Now!/Junior Varsity
Jana Hunter/French Quarter
Hold Steady/Illinois
(preceded by 7 shows in the last 10 days of May and I was in Seattle near a week)
2006:
Don Caballero
Thermals/Reindeer and Tiger Team
Birdmonster/Division Day
Revenants/Earps
Mellowdrone/Monsters Are Waiting
Mr. Lif/Cage
From Monument To Masses/Saxon Shore
Reindeer and Tiger Team/Parenthetical Girls/Back ted n ted
Built to Spill/Brett Netson
Tilly and the Wall/Now It's Overhead
Black Angels/Hopewell
J Church/Porches
French Kicks/Snow Songs/Fatigo
Addie/Color Turning
Tierra del Fuego
Danielson/Asleep in the Sea
(Plus I missed some time for Pitchfork.)
So what I'm gathering is that June through August usually is a little slow, compared to the rest of the year (though 2006 I was right on schedule, over it if I were to count Pitchfork)
But. Really. This is what I have gathered for the time period in the other thread:
06/02/10 - Melvins @ Clubhouse
06/05/10 - Miike Snow @ Clubhouse
06/06/10 - Josiah Wolf (of Why?), Cars and Trains, the Whisperlights @ Trunk Space
06/07/10 - Mumford & Sons, Middle East @ Rhythm Room
06/10/10 - Sage Francis, b.dolan @ Clubhouse
06/13/10 - The Sadies, Lonna Kelley @ Rhythm Room
06/18/10 - Matt Pond Pa, Wintersleep @ Sail Inn
06/22/10 - Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, Dawes @ Clubhouse
06/23/10 - Erykah Badu @ Marquee
06/23/10 - Grupo Fantasma/Nortec Collective @ Rhythm Room
06/28/10 - Blitzen Trapper, the Moondoggies @ Clubhouse
06/28/10 - Damien Jurado @ Rhythm Room
06/29/10 - Vans Warped Tour @ Cricket Pavillion
07/10/10 - Kings of Leon, Built To Spill, The Features @ Cricket Pavilion
07/20/10 - Robert Plant and the Band Of Joy @ Dodge Theate
07/22/10 - Pinback @ Clubhouse
08/17/10 - Natalie Merchant @ Dodge Theatre
08/27/10 - Slayer and Megadeth with Testament @ Dodge Theatre
and I see one show I might go to.
I bet there'll be plenty of good local shows, I guess.
