Not really. My habit was get a new tape , play it till it warbles, buy a new tape next week, then kill another . I was intrigued by rap back then, but honestly In the last 10-15 years haven't heard but a half dozen groups/artist that impressed me enough to get into like I did when it was first blowing up. The curse of being a music snob for so damn long is I pass over lots of music that would impress me if I hadn't heard (fill in genre defining prodigy).
