You can act like you wouldnt like it but you know damn well you'd be there. They're headlining 2 European festivals this summer.
This. Sunday Night. The whole entire Polo fields singing along.
i DO want to miss a thing: aerosmith.
your ≠ you're
[boarderwoozel3] dying or tim & eric
[boarderwoozel3] I'll take dying
I don't know how I feel about this. On the one hand I do enjoy some of Aerosmith's music (grew up listening to them) and it would lead to less etards. On the other hand, they just don't fit Coachella. I think only a few older bands can still fit the bill and Aerosmith isn't one of them. They don't cast the same shadow that The Beatles, Pink Floyd or Rolling Stones do.
Oh and that song wasn't even written by them for the record.
7/26 Au Revoir Simone @ The Roxy, 8/1 Arcade Fire, the Unicorns, Dan Deacon at the Forum, 8/2 Burger a-Go-Go, @ Observatory, 8/9 Warpaint @ Observatory, 8/10 Warpaint @ The Ace, 8/23-24 FYF Fest, 9/11 Swans @ Roxy, 9/18 Neutral Milk Hotel @ Hollywood Bowl, 9/19 Chvrches @ Palladium, 9/30 Cibo Matto @ the Roxy, 10/9 Zola Jesus @ El Rey, 10/16 Massive Attack @ Greek Theater, 10/26 Asobi Seksu & Slowdive @ Royale
do not want.
As much as I love Aerosmith, because they were my first favorite band when I was little.... No. Especially since I thought Steven left the band?
i like a lot of the goofy classic rock acts people make threads about on here, but i fucking hate Aerosmith and I hate that song and now I think i hate YOU.
6/15/14 Failure - Glasshouse // 7/9/14 Cloud Nothings/Metz - Roxy
7/16/14 Planes Mistaken For Stars - Echo // 8/23-24/14 FYF Fest - Expo Park //8/25/14 Nine Inch Nails - Hollywood Bowl // 9/12-14/14 Riotfest - Humboldt Park, Chicago, IL
9/18/14 Neutral Milk Hotel - Hollywood Bowl
Aerosmith was my favorite band growing up. I've seen them three times (each time with hilarious openers: Fuel, KISS, and Kid Rock/Run-DMC). The first was my first real rock show, and it was in DC about a week after 9/11. Joe Perry silhouetted against a shining American flag opening with "Beyond Beautiful." It kicked fucking ass.
Then I grew up, and realized that they're a totally pretty okay band -- not much more. They're not great, and they can be annoying as hell. But their blues cover album a few years back was pretty solid, they put on a great show, and would win people over at Coachella. But they 100% Do. Not. Belong. And there's no way it'll happen. And there's no way I want it to happen.
Sidenote, yes: Tyler was kicked out of the band, but they've let him back in for touring. It's a tenuous relationship though, to say the least.
Are you guys serious? This doesn't belong on the Coachella Main Stage?
This is America's Greatest Rock & Roll Band.
American Music, Grammys, Billboard, People's Choice, VMA, even a god damn Soul Train Award. This band has done everything there is to do but headline Coachella. Next year will be their 10 year anniversary since being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Joe Perry & Brad Whitford would kill!
DO NOT WANT.
nice armpits dude so rawk
Steven is in contrary to previous rumors.
i would be so down for this EXCEPT in Salah's World this is a Roo act. Straight up
