    Jay Z got the love because he has continually kept himself relevant by releasing new music regularly. Dr. Dre has for whatever reason maintained a low profile and keeps teasing the public with rumors of his impending release, but no concrete information.

    It's not really that difficult to see why Jay Z was given a headlining opportunity over Dre.

    Not only that but Dre is more of a producer than rapper and doesn't perform live often. All of his lyrics are ghost-written. Jay-Z and Eminem wrote a large portion of Chronic 2001 (Royce Da 5'9" wrote one of the tracks on there too).

    I like Dre but if you wonder why he doesn't get preference over Jay-Z then you probably don't follow hip hop close enough.

    This sounds interesting, I'd listen to it. Interplanetary songs don't always work out so well (ask Howie B and Hubert Noi's album), but think Dre would do a good job. Spaceadelica.
