Coming from a site whose front page feature is "Celebrity Big Brother is Back," this doesn't mean all that much. It doesn't change the level of expectation I had of them being there at all.
Yeah, it's all good.
Just thought I'd share.

Wait a minute, Dale Gribble isn't from Tucson...
The CIA was onto me. I have a new identity. "Rusty Shackleford."

Really is Blur a headliner? In America?
"It's in the K" - Martha Stewart
Since the show list is very minimal...
August 29 // Chemical Brothers w/ Chromeo & Yacht @ Hollywood Bowl
September 26 // Vampire Weekend w/ Beach House & the Very Best @ Hollywood Bowl
October 5 // ARCADE FIRE @ Henry Miller Library
October 13 // Corin Tucker Band @ The El Rey
(someone should give me Sufjan Stevens tickets, aint got none of those)
I am not saying who is better, but who is a bigger draw really. I just dont see people flocking to see Blur.
Any time I saw them I do not recall it being sold out. (Which was the Palladium and the SB Bowl)
Plus I really dont think the Killers are a Coachella type of band. I just dont see it.

another excellent article:
P Diddy made sure New York revellers got back from the ball safely on New Year's Eve by teaming up with City Taxi & Limousine Commission to give people free rides home.
Diddy said: "New York is the most iconic New Year's Eve city. Let's show everyone a holiday celebration doesn't end on the stroke of midnight, but when everyone gets home safely." Pimp my New Year or what...
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.
P. Diddy is quite the philanthropist indeed.

I'd like Blur to headline, seeing as that would give them a bigger time slot. Gorillaz has a new album coming out also. If Damon were to do a Gorillaz -> Blur, then I think that would be a good set-up for ticket sales, depending on how the rest of the day is.
But still, I don't know if Blur would start everything with Coachella. I'm sure they're all cool with Paul T and Goldenvoice. I mean, Blur has been to Coachella before, and The Good, The Bad, and The Queen were able to play their entire album in 2007; but Blur is such a British band. I can't see them making their first show in America.
No.
Yes.
If you're under the age of 25, that maybe true, if you're over the age of 25, the opposite is true...
& you won't convince me that Gorillaz have had more singles, just more videos (but since we're talking about an animated-visual band, that's bound to be the case, isn't it?)
Gorillaz -> Blur would be fucking EPIC!
but yeah, I would be shocked if Blur started their reunion comeback at Coachella... but i've also predicted that their first US show will be Coachella 2010

I would take Blur as a headliner over 95% of the crap pushed by this board... easily.
i would put them in my top ten headliner choices, easily (and most of those ten would be longshot, wish acts)...
i can only think of a handful of acts i'd skip Blur for in a conflict, and most of them GV probably won't book anyway... pussies.
Blur >>>>>>>>>>>> JJ
Blur >>>>>>>>>>> Coldplay
Blur >>>>>>>>> Morrissey
Blur >>>>>>> The Killers
Blur >>>>>> U2
Blur >>>> Neil Young
Blur >>> Radiohead (yes, i said it!)
Blur >> Oasis
Blur > No Doubt
