its been two weeks later and i have to keep reminding myself that this years show has already passed. thats NEVER happened to me before. just didnt feel the same.

This pretty much describes exactly how I've felt after this year's fest. I haven't even posted about the shows we saw or people we got to meet, and coming back from the weekend to a message board full of negativity sure didn't help, I'll say that much. While we still enjoyed ourselves and had a good time, there definitely was something different. Maybe it was the amount of new changes and the fact that some of them failed? Not sure...

Yeah, I had to take a long break from this site. Musically, by far, this was my favorite year, but the over-crowding and traffic issues definitely tarnished the experience. I commend GV for continuing to put on a world-class lineup.

We've gone every year since 2004, so we hope that GV reacts to the feedback and takes positive steps to improve the experience. However, I'm not naive... it sold out, so I am hoping for expanded festival grounds, since less ticket sales would be unrealistic.

Instead of fog machines, marijuana smoke from said machines. Hopefully you'll still get the same lighting effect during the later sets, but perhaps that won't even matter-- for obvious reasons...

My list:
a better hip hop lineup than what we got in 2010 (Wale, P.O.S., and B.O.B. were all terrible), Wu Tang

P.O.S. did not suck. But then again it seems like every act that plays every Coachella, there's as many that will rip a given artist that will also rave about the same one.

My big request for next year would be a tent-only camping option with a separate parking lot exclusively for tent-only campers... where they could come/go anytime of the day like in previous years... even if it means the camping spots are smaller. I just wanna be able to drive in/out as I please... especially on Thursday nights and in the morning.
