So is Fantastic Planet a good starting point for Failure? Only heard a few songs by them, was a little too young when they were around.

    You ah!

But seriously, Failure is fucking great and I'm super excited that we get to see them.

And yes, Fantastic Planet is the best place to start with them.

My buddy bought Fantastic Planet because we are both going to the show. Just not my cup of tea. just couldnt get into it. Just kind of nostalgia 90s music to me, nothing special. But oh well. I am just being a whiney bitch about it. I have dug every opener i have seen for TOOL. Hopefully they will surprise me

    Well fuck....

Can we have both? I wouldn't be surprised if Yob is just playing The Great Cessation all the way through, since they've announced they wanted to do that, and it's their best album.

There are so many, its hard to really pick one or 2. Societe is a really popular one at the moment. Ballast Point also has a new tasting room in little Italy that's supposed to be pretty good. Ale Smith and Green Flash are pretty good too.

    Check this site out: http://www.drinkupsandiego.com/sandiegobreweries.html

There's also bars like Tiger Tiger, Toronado, and the Tap Room that have a huge variety of local beers on tap.
Let's go on a livin' spree!

Tonight's the night. Any setlist predictions? They've been pulling out some deep cuts on recent tours. I told my friend that I can't resist looking at setlists because if they bust out the trilogy I'm going to start selling limbs to get to as many shows as possible.

I'm calling Grudge, Eulogy, and D/R/T. The trilogy is a definite possibility because it's not very stressful on Maynard's vocals. Grudge and Eulogy he can use his voice box.

I am hoping for Parabol/Parabola. Maynard did it last tour. Hoping now.

I can't not check the set lists. Never worked for me. These days, I embrace knowing the set list in advance. A couple of times, I've even been surprised and they pull out something else after doing the same set for nights on end (yes, it does happen).

Edit- so far, the set list at Spokane looks good to me! Only a few songs thus far. My hope for Parabola still alive since they normally did it later in the set.

Isn't that similar to last tour? Any new visuals? Good set list. I may actually try to catch them now

Not sure. I grabbed it off setlist.fm

Setlist is almost identical to the last show I saw them at 2 years ago minus Ticks & Leeches though.

As good as the songs are, I wouldn't mind if they completely dropped Aenima, Schism, Stinkfist and Lateralus from these sets and replaced them with 4 degrees, The Grudge, Eulogy, and H. There are so many songs that they just don't play. Ever. And haven't since like 98.

^I don't think any of us would have a problem with that! But Maynard won't do it. On the whole, the latest set is a bit disappointing. The last couple of tours after breaking for a while, they came back with things like Third Eye and Hooker. There's nothing new in this set here. Glad to see Intension still in there. And there's still time for them to switch it up a bit.

The only change in the setlist we'll probably see is the second night of San Francisco.

I doubt that. I'm sure he doesnt give a shit about the people that bought tickets for both nights hoping to see a different set list.
