I have to admit, it's infinitely more fun bashing on Tool than defending them.

When I first got a text message today about a tool summer tour I thought, "Wait. Is this text message from last year and I am somehow getting it now? Couldn't be." At any rate I will be attending at least one show for sure. Even if it is the same fucking list. But I am here to tell you that it will not be the same setlist.
So who thinks its gonna be the same ol' same ol'?
So far we have:
suprefan
msklvr
getbetter
Who else?

I defended Tool for months on this board in '06 (under a different name, obviously), but that period ended up being the twilight of my interest in this band. Seen them upwards of 10 times, with the last being that lackluster headlining performance, and each show was progressively less appealing. And, based on the judgments leveled here, it sounds like I haven't missed much over the past four years.
But for what it's worth, those first tours in support of Lateralus when they played Disposition>Reflection>Triad.....GREAT SHIT.
Put me on the list of people who thinks its gonna be somewhat different than last summer. I'll be at the so cal shows.
^And like pussy and Arizona wine, its might be old news, but I'll give it another chance nonetheless.
pics because it didn't happen
Say what you will about them, but very few bands have a thread blow up like this anytime there is even mention of them possibly playing live. Why is that?

You must be crazy Sonnyboy. While Tool is incredible live, playing the same setlist over and over is just unacceptable. I do blame Maynard for this. The best show I have ever seen in my life was LiTS Vegas. Nothing TooL has done, so far, comes close to this tour. I still can't wait to see Tool on this tour![]()
