I'm pretty sure Daft Punk is main stage only headliner status or sub at this point. But the Sahara would be more fun to be sure.

Well both of those bands are bigger than AF, and yet arguably the "smallest" headliners that Coachella has ever had. So I guess if GV wants to try setting the bar even lower...

If everyone will remember, at some point Portishead were going to headline a day, whom despite the quality, appeal to a very small audience. I'd say Arcade Fire are much much bigger then they are.

I mention it for quality purposes, not quantity. Besides, 5 stages gives us all a plethora of choices. I would even add a sixth comedy stage with "alt comedians" and no Dane Cook in site.

What is the sixth stage? I know the Main Stage, Outdoor Theatre, the Sahara, the Mojave and the Gobi.

195 results, not counting signatures, "lol" responses, puking emoticons or aliases. You talk about them more than plenty of boardies who actually like them, so don't go telling me they're being shoved down your throat or anything. You're more into them than most, in a Moonlighting kinda way.

Yeah, I'm all about the dated televisual references these days.

Anyway, the point is, it's not like we're being wacky and unreasonable to suggest that Arcade Fire are very good at playing live music in public places or anything, it's a fairly widely accepted idea. Ergo, they are a difficult act to follow at a festival. None of these are radical or uninformed statements.

I try to be pretty chill about this stuff, but seeing this conversation play out over and over and over again is starting to wear thin even on my own saintly patience.
