Best website/forum for shows in LA?

I've been going to casenet.com/concerts for shows in Los Angeles which isn't bad, but the layout is ancient and there isn't a forum that I know of. I finally stumbled upon this forum this year and I'm really excited with all of the knowledgeable music fans and how many of them are located in the Los Angeles area.

Do you guys just post here year round about upcoming shows? Where do you recommend going to keep in touch / meet new people / hear about shows with independent music fans?

Thanks a bunch. Are there any forums specifically intended for LA area events that are also frequented often? The SoCal section of the music lounge seems kind of dead...

i would say the Upcoming Shows thread is the place to go. It's probably 75% LA-based talk. The SoCal section is new, kind of an experiment.

When I search for shows or information about them on Google.. I get the Coachella boards A LOT.

Oh, also, if you just want to be UPDATED about shows, and you use, iTunes, google iConcertcal and download it...it's an iTunes app that keeps a calendar of updoming shows and album releases based on your iTunes library. It's freaking awesome.
