Most fun YOU had at Coachella 2010

Im curious to know what everyones favorite, most fun part of the weekend was.

For me it was Saturday night. It was me, my 2 great friends, and our camping neighbor. We were all dosed up and were getting ready to watch i think mgmt, or it was the act before mgmt i forget. We sat down and were looking around at everyone, and it seemed that people were not having an epic time, some even looked to be having a bad trip. To us this was absurd, were at coachella, lets share the vibes. We decided to light our glow-sticks on fire and cover ourselves in glow stick dots. With in minutes our group looked like space, well at least to me. Everyone just sitting there with the slightest moments, we looked like stars. It was really pretty. The fun spread fast as the group next to us did it too. Before you knew it everyone walking by was smiling and taking pictures. besides you ( ill call you "drunk ass") who got pissed that there was some on you and slapped the glow stick out of my fiends hand, even though you were to ignorant to realize it disappears in minutes. But hey hey were all friends in my book. I forgive you for not having a good time ^.^
Anyway it was a really fun, and a great bonding experience. I hope to see pictures of it someday.

My favorite moment of the entire festival was during Orbital. If you saw me during this set you understand what I mean.

This is followed only by running around the campgrounds all night with moomoo and mattpach.

1) Finally finding my friends on Sunday after a weekend of basically cruising solo, getting to catch the Gorillaz with em.

2) While waiting in the ATM line, saw a couple in front of me who just seemed perfect for each other somehow. Finally gathered up the courage to spread the good vibes (keep in mind I was on copious amounts of drugs at this point) and told them I thought they were both absolutely beautiful people...at first I thought I might have freaked them out, but then the chick said I had made her day, and I got a big ol hug. Feels good man.

Crowd surfing out of Phoenix after their set on Sunday. It was a madhouse below me and everything was craziness as everybody was trying to push to the front before Thom, but I was late for pavement so I asked a couple guys to give me an airlift and as I was floating above all the craziness below, I felt IT. I finally felt coachella somehow for the first time all weekend. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
And oh yeah, I also had alot of fun at Hot chip. THAT was epic.

When I came home Sunday night and watched Sly Stone on the live stream. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

Watching PiL's live stream while I hurriedly finished up my trial prep. I would never have seen them had I been there (deadMau5!), but ... holy shit, they were an awesome act.

YES. the sunset changed the crowd, it was so beautiful and it seemed like everyone got really calm and happy then. and hot chip was great i believe that's when i joined a happy jumping congo line through the crowd? god, only at coachella, so fun

It's hard for me to pinpoint the single most fun thing at Coachella, so I'll do some of my highlights:
DJ Lance Rock/Yo Gabba Gabba! reminding me what it's like to be a kid again and how easy it is to have fun and enjoy simple things in life.
Getting to shake Proxy's hand when he wandered out into the crowd during Pablo Hassan.
Rocking out to Proxy.
Waving my shirt around while singing "Big Pimpin" with Jay-Z.
Seeing the excitement on my wife's face while we waited for Gorillaz to go on.
Club 75 and Busy P introducing them by saying "The Frenchies are back!"
I had a ton of fun and that just scratches the surface, but it's what popped into my head right now.

The change in the atmosphere was palpable once the sun went down. Some of our best moments came right when the sun dipped below the horizon.

Passion Pit -> Knowing what we still had in front of us; 3 crazy nights and almost the enitire weekend still to come. It being cool enough for us to finally start getting drunk and rowdy...being with my little sister who lives in San Diego and my best friend who lives in LA...two of the most important people in the world to me, both of whom I only get to see a few times each year.

Pulling into the campgrounds just after sunset on Thursday for our first Coachella (everyone in our group was a first timer) Rollerskating + LED Swingsets + Bassface on Thursday...

Pretty Lights and 2ManyDJ's...dancing harder than I have in years.
Orbital was sick.

I think Devo's set was the most fun I had all weekend, followed somewhat closely by Julian Casablancas.

Saturday was the day for me. It's a tie between the Faith No More/Muse party and right before that - my first time crowdsurfing. The xx was packed, and after I wanted to leave and get a good spot for Faith No More. Unfortunately, I was sort of near the front of the Outdoor and there wasn't a really good way to get out of there.

I turned around and said "I just wanna see Faith No More!" And a guy behind me asked if I want to go up. I hesitated, but decided it was a good idea. He and his friends hoisted me up and back I went - quite a rush. I was screaming "FAITH NO MORE!" the whole time like a jackass, and when people finally let me down I said "thank you" and went on my way. This, combined with catching the USC Marching Band with Coheed, then a 1-2 punch of FNM and Muse was perfect.

On Sunday I had my most fun moments. I don't know what it was about it, but during Rusko I just lost it and danced harder than I have in a long time. It was just something about the tent or the weather or something, it just made so happy and energetic. He played songs I always wanted to hear on a sound system like that. I'll crank it up in my room a lot, but I'd always think about how hearing that in the Sahara would be so awesome and it happened! Hearing Skream's remix of Zomby, Funtcase, Flux Pavilion, and Excision during that made my weekend.

Then later that night during Orbital it was the same thing. I never really listened to Orbital extensively but always got so happy listening to that music. When I looked up on that stage and saw those lights bobbing like crazy I just lost it. I've been a big electronic music fan for awhile, but have always seen DJs or DJ sets so seeing that square of equipment around them got me so amped. Then the opening dialog for Satan started and I was yelling at everyone around me to get ready for it. I didn't have any glow sticks but I knew it was about to happen. That was fucking awesome.
