just in case anyone was wondering.. although Man Man's new album will be coming out in April, they have not (yet, anyway) been asked to play Coachella. But Honus said he would play every year if they could. So it seems like it's just a matter of GV approaching them. we'll see.

Monklish @anon418 You and several others are making the assumption that I am holding back on a deluge of information. The answer to every question is usually: 'I do not know', 'I have not heard anything', or 'They are probably not playing.' I am mostly doing my updates in real time. I wait until there are at least 4 decent new names to include on the list. Every year my accuracy has increased because I have increased my efforts to sift the bad and good information. Based on tips sent to my email and "in the know" comments on here and other websites, Coachella will be headlined by Arcade Fire, Rolling Stones, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Neil Young, Radiohead, Portishead, David Bowie, The Who, Queens of the Stone Age, REM, Kanye West, etc...

Several bands that I believe are playing do not end up at the festival. I tend to believe the sources that gave me bad info less than I did the year prior. It is factually correct to say that there is no other source prior to the lineup announcement that has had a higher percentage of the final lineup than my blog. Anyone can name 200 bands and come away with 80% of the lineup.

Sorry that I am not expanding on list. I am not sure what further insight that you want into the names that are on the there already.

As for my responses being pointless. The fake poster was wrong. It was my list with some filler and guesses thrown in. I am sure that it will be decently correct outside of the headliners. That was probably the third time that someone asked about that poster, so I was dealing it. All posters always fake. People should start posting fake documents and spreadsheets. It would be more believable. As for Crappy comment 1: I do not usually respond to the whiners, but there was a large hypocrisy and error in their complaint. We are further along this year than we were last year.
