I RAN. LITERALLY RAN. After the end of Jay Z's set to catch the last couple of songs of Whitest Boy Alive. Between them and Delphic they were the 2 kinda obscure/unknown acts that I had sampled and liked the most. I had to see Jay Z though.

Catching the last 2 songs of Whitest Boy Alive made me realize how much I missed. Fuck. It was so good.

And yes. Dude does look like Bill Gates. After their set was over, he came out and greeted the crowd. Awesome!

The way I treated Jay Z with Whitest Boy Alive and Deadmau5 both playing at the same time, was... I'll stay until I've gotten my Jay Z fix... and the only way I'll stay is if Jay Z completely blows me away. He did. He was so good! I saw the set times get posted and I was really sad to see how killer that after 10PM time slot was on Fri on all stages. No regrets.

Delphic did cancel. I'm just saying of the obscure groups that I didn't know much about going into the festival. Of the ones I sampled Whitest Boy Alive and Delphic were by far my 2 favorites. It sucked that the volcano had to ruin it for them and a few others. I think Letterman made a great joke about it when Sharon Jones appeared on his show not too long ago. Fast forward to about 35 seconds into it lol. And just enjoy Ms. Sharon Jones for her awesomeness while you're at it lol.-

it worked out perfectly for me , deadmau5 started about 5 minutes earlier than scheduled, saw about 20-30 minutes of his set, then jammed over to whitest boy alive who were scheduled to start at 11:55 but luckily they were slightly delayed so we got there in plenty of time before they even started. deadmau5 to whitest boy alive , who woould have ever thought-only at coachella.
