They were fucking awful. Without a doubt the worst of the weekend for me. And I'm the one that talked my wife into going because I actually enjoyed the couple of songs of theirs I had heard on the radio.

If we're lucky something will happen. Some adversity will happen and something unexpected will happen and you'll get tired and you'll get hungry, you'll have trouble going to the bathroom, and you'll lose your car keys, and all these wonderful things will add up to some powerful experience that 10 years from now we'll say "We lived, we lived." - Wayne Coyne on Coachella
It was ok. I was around the soundboard and there some fun moments, but it was also really weak at points. Then they didn't play "Ring Ring" and it ended the set on a sour note. They fucking ended early without playing their best song... Crazy.
I honestly thought their set was the Crystal Castles of 2010. It just sounded like noise to me.
Glad I left early. I was a big fan of the album too but couldn't stay at the performance for more than 2 songs without feeling bad for talking so much shit on Alice Glass.
Am I just crazy or is their single "crown on the ground" supposed to sounds like my speakers are blown, no matter what source i'm using to play it?
that's not a compliment by the way.
It sounded great on the Coachella mix sampler they were handing out, but whenever I try downloading it, it sounds like shit.
Superfan will be in front of the Fonda masturbating furiously to a photo of him taking a photo of a band. Set is from 8:05 to approximately 8:05:15. Guest list only.
Upcoming Shows: Marques Wyatt - UCLA, Paul Mccartney - Dodger Stadium, Yes - Greek Theater, Herbie Hancock - Hollywood Bowl, NIN/Soundgarden - Hollywood Bowl, Cut Chemist/Dj Shadow - Palladium, Massive Attack SB Bowl
I liked this set and this band a lot more until I played a few tracks for a friend who is a fellow music lover. He heard 'Ring Ring' and told me to listen to George Clinton's 'Can You Get To That' and then get back to him on Sleigh Bells. Pretty blatant rip off.
I had to walk out when she started screaming.
they were the first act i caught. great beginning to an awesome weekend. i walked away to get close for calle 13, but i'd definitely see their own show.

the track playing on hardfest.com is great.
no coachella for me this year. lineup is too weak to fly coast to coast.
Here are some photos for those of you who did enjoy it.

Some of the most intelligent people I've ever met swear all the time, and what's to stop a smart person from calling you an asshole when they feel it's justified? The person you are responding to may not be bright, but coming to that conclusion based on his language is laughable and usually a methodology reserved for the elderly.
Fuck fuck fuckity fuck.
Was I the only one that saw that girl pass the fuck out just as Crown on the Ground started? I was right next to the soundboard back corner right, this girl was just standing there dancing just a little bit then all of a sudden she just dropped to her knees and was out.
I like David Guetta. He is sooooooooo good. he should headline the main stage.
i was really close to some speakers and enjoyed it... That guitarist killed shit

I could literally fill pages and pages of this thread with more examples of that, but I feel like I've made my point.
As far as my choice of vernacular goes, well, again, you can pretty much fuck yourself. I think that YOU'RE demonstrating YOUR intelligence by being so quick to judge my mental capacity based on a few syllables I happened to string together. I have a fucking quality education, and I basically have my dream job, so I'm not really fucking worried about your asshole opinion, you fuck.
The thing that bothers me is that you're perpetuating this fucking stupid, bullshit myth that somehow, because I use a computer to make music.. I'm not a real musician. Obviously, you're full of shit on that, and I guess history will be the judge. Either way, you're still an asshole and I hope you die of cocks.
ONE MORE, DICK:

Say what you want about Sleigh Bells, but that guy clearly doesn't know wtf he's talking about. Also, his name is 2+2=5, which further demonstrates the fact that he's an asshole.
