Really hope they're playing during someone like Skrillex, so I can enjoy their set without (for the most part) everyone complaining that they haven't played Kids

I don't know if they'll conflict with Skrillex seeing as he could possibly close out the Sahara and MGMT could go second or third to last in the Outdoor IMO. But if so, it would definitely take a lot of the bad crowd away from their set. I've read that the crowd plays a big role on whether MGMT plays a good set or not, so I'm just hoping for the best in this case.

That is pretty delicious right there.

Wow, they sound boring and lifeless even when they play other people's songs. Fuck them for butchering such a great song. I can't believe it, but I actually want to see this set less.

Wow you do realize this was like 10 years ago when they were in college and before MGMT was an actual group right?

Still, they're just as boring and lifeless then as they are now. Knowing that it's from ten years ago actually makes it worse. It shows that somehow, in spite of a decade of playing live, they still have not changed some major problems with their live act. You'd think some time down the road, someone would tell Andrew "hey, you might need to work on your stage presence." It's really not that hard. Just put some effort into singing.

What do you want them to do on stage? Boring is their style. They sound just fine and have screens with weird visuals. Do you want them to be a band full of Andrew W.K.?

Hahah I'm just kidding. Kids is obviously a catchy song, but it's no Siberian Breaks. To be honest, I wouldn't mind them skipping this one. I'm all for hearing some more psychedelic rock jams at their set to deep cuts from Oracular or Congratulations.

Ive seen MGMT a few times and this was definitely the most fun. The entire set was a party and the band seemed into it.

I saw them in 2009. Was not impressed. Very much a studio band. I don't mind that they didn't play their biggest hits. I did mind however that they were just bad.

I saw them in Sydney in late 08 and I was more impressed with Tame Impala as their opening act than MGMT proper. That being said, I'll probably give MGMT another chance this time.

They win anybody over this year? It's their best of the 4 times I've seen them.

I enjoyed the music aspect. Their stage presence was non existent, though.

good setlist, i also enjoyed the krautrock jam during kids. I disagree about the stage presence, they seemed livelier than usual.

Sounded great , visuals were good , about the best we can expect . They are dead up there , but at least the visuals are distracting . Is tame impala any better ?
