Default Wait, no bands from last year?

I must have overlooked someone, because I can't recall any acts that are playing this year that were also there last year. One band always does this:
    Chemical Bros: 99, 01, 02
    Blonde Redhead: 01, 02
Queens of the Stone Age: 02, 03
    Rapture: 03, 04
Bright Eyes, MF Doom: 04, 05
    Bloc Party: 05, 06

Brother Ali and Jr. Gong (though he's just a "guest" of his brother's this time).

The Rapture did not play last year, but they have played twice before. other all-time repeats I spot are: Bjork, RHCP, Rage, Sonic Youth, Arcade Fire, Interpol, Felix, El-P, LCD Soundsystem, Black Keys, !!!, Air, Roots, PVD and Tiesto.

I think Pharoahe, Evil Nine and Gogol Bordello may have performed, but I don't feel like checking the posters.

Yeah, EDITORS should definitely be invited to come back. So many people missed their spectacular performance because of fucking Madonna and Mogwai (or people camping camping out @ Tool/Massive Attack). Their second album will be released this late spring/early summer.

    I second that

Camping out for Massive Attack and Tool, wasting time attempting to see Madonna, seeing Mogwai, taking a massive dump and then eating it...all these are better choices than seeing that Interpol cover band.

we are forgetting that mars volta played two years, not sure if it was consecutive though, but it might have been.

Yeah I'd love for Editors to come back, I missed them last year. I'd even like Bloc Party back, has any band ever done 3 years straight or is that just overkill.
    2005, 2007, 2011, 2012 W1, 2012 W2, 2013 W1, 2013 W2, and SOON 2014 W1 & 2014 W2!!

OP was not attempting to make an exhaustive list of consecutive year repeats but yeah, the Mars Volta played both 2002 (early in the Mojave) and 2003 (mid-afternoon on the Coachella stage.)

I think technically Perry Farell's played in 5 straight Coachellas, so take that for what you will...

Actually Perry didn't play in 2003, probably because Lolla was starting up again.

He has performed in some capacity every other year, though.

Perry did play 2003, he was an unannounced surprise addition. When the schedule was posted online, there was a set in the Gobi tent that was labeled with a question mark, and it ended up being DJ Peretz.
