Default Them Crooked vultures or pretty lights?

Hey guys, just wanted some input as to which show you think will be better, as they go on at the same time. I'm a big fan of pretty lights but have never seen them live. I like the new TCV record and my friend recently saw them in LA and said they were amazing.

Has anyone seen one or both? Recommendations?

them crooked vultures is 1/4 of led zeppelin + queens of the stone age. think about the epicness of that.

pretty lights is great and all but there are gonn abe so many good dance gigs that you can make.

in my opinion youd be nucking futs to miss vultures.

The triple conflict is rough, one of these acts should have been earlier where there are some holes. I wish Pretty Lights remained on Saturday =(

    But...

    Missing TCV is basically retarded.

    Please go to TCV.

I'll be dancing my stupid ass off to Pretty Lights and enjoying the extra space.

I'm watching the beginning of PL since I'll already be there for Wolfgang. Then I'll catch a song or two of GB before heading to the mainstage and hopefully catching the second half of TCV. Then it's party time with LCD > Jay-Z

i gotta say TCV was one of my highlights for Friday, but then i got into PL after the line-up came out, so i'm betting on the fact that i'll have plenty of other opportunities to see TCV when they go on tour & also due to the fact that my g/f will likely have a much better time dancing to PL, i'll be in the Sahara... the ONLY reason i'm glad they got moved to Friday is because if they played the same timeslot on Saturday, there's no way i'd miss Faith No More

Even though it won't happen, No Quarter would be entirely sick.

La Roux sounds more tempting, though Josh Homme is a cutie.

    THIS!

I would kill to have a conflict of only 2 of these acts or staggered a little, so I could see 50/50, but all three at the same time is fooked up! WTF!?!

Everyone says to go do this or go do that... hell, I'm guilty of it. But, too be honest, just do whatever feels right at the time. We all try to make plans for who we're going to see, but in the end, we end up doing what feels right in the moment. That's what it's about.

Easy choice...but if you're really finding it difficult to see Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones (I'll leave out Josh Homme because if you knew he was already you definitely wouldn't be asking this question) doing what they do then I would say go see pretty lights...

I will sadly have to miss this set...

P.S. - Grizzly Bear aren't going away anytime soon, but the Vultures most definitely will...

Extra P.S. - Have either of you people ever heard Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Queens of the Stoned Age, or Foo Fighters?

i kinda doubt that... TCV haven't even gone on a full tour of the US yet & they basically announced a second album in the works only a couple weeks after the first CD came out.

Well I was just kind of thinking it would be one of those things where they hit it hard for a year or so, record that second album and move on like most super groups do...mind you they have pretty big limitations as far as touring and such

It may be a while till the second album happens. Foo Fighters and QOTSA are both going to work on new albums and tour after the summer festival season.

    Go with TCV.
