I feel like they could have billed a few more acts to fill in the gaps

I've seen the Sahara dead when other acts were on. Evil Nine a couple/three years back. Like 10 people in there and they were closing. My guess is they don't want to force it.

The only day stages shut down early is Sunday, I think they just want Sunday to end with a bang... and thus their focus on the main stage for the final act.

Yeah, don't assume. Three hour sets from Atoms for Peace might not happen. Then it'll be known as Wakinglife's fault and you'll have to live with that.

Yeah just find the large time gaps a bit odd, oh well. I can't complain it's coachella, hopefully the do lab will be holding it down during some of the wait!

They could add some bands at the last minute for the stages not listed functioning late, like add the Pains of Being Pure at Heart or Surfer Blood, or the Living Sisters.

i agree with aguadulce, this is my guess that that's were mew was supposed to play before they had to drop due to their family emergency.

if that's the case, i'm glad i don't have to choose between mew and muse.

i'll catch mew on their own show when they come back... in 2011!

Atoms for Peace just did an extra encore last night because the crowd wouldn't leave. If Thom has the time and it is into it, I can see them just going for it.
