Where's that at?
rice terraces - East Java

Friday morning before Coachella, trying out those wings:
Monday afternoon finches:
Wednesday --- look how big they're all getting!!!:
Amazing how much change has occurred in less than a week. They may actually start to fledge in a week (no more than two I'm sure).
Awww their fuzzies are nearly gone!
Finches are gone!!!
Awww, they all flew the coop while I was at work yesterday. That was fast. I was expecting to see a couple of days of perching and beating their wings and practicing, but no, they just got up and left. I can now water my beleaguered plants.
Finally got shots of mama hummer feeding the babies (which are now nearly as large as she is):
Pretty soon they'll be gone, too.
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.
And now they are off to see the real world.
this was yesterday
there were two one fledged in the early evening. this morning one was looking over its surroundings
He/she took a little hop out onto the branch and tested its wings
Momma came by to show how it was done
The little guy took flight
then perched on top of the shrub took another gander around then fledged
unsuccessfully tried to land on the stucco, then out and away
bye bye little birdies

.. -\ <,
Hummingbirds are long, lost loves reincarnated in a dainty package to watch us from a far. Butterflies are family.
Awesome, thank you 1litro & HTD.
people just want marijuana and naked people. The rest is just bonus.
this thread is amazing. here are some of my recent photos:
pelican friends. grays harbor, WA.
pacific chorus frog friends. i'm researching them in school!
going to be a balls hot weekend. Yay.
I love pelicans. I love how they look all serious and stately and wonderfully ridiculous all at the same time. I love how they cruise along in formation, and how they "surf" by catching the updraft from the building face of the wave. Nice pics, amplexus.
And that is a seriously tiny frog.
i have my own videos of them but i'm too lazy to post them right now
thanks! your pics are great too.
