They have to play Toronto and Montreal, right?

Good chance of that happening, I would say. The idea that an anarchist, stringently anti-corporate band is going to play the nine "biggest" American markets is fallible, at best.
But that said - if the idea is really to play nine meaningful shows, one would like to hope they're at least spread out wide across the continent of North America.
Oh wait, I haven't properly articulated my feelings on this yet.
BEST GODDAMN NEWS I HAVE EVER HEARD.
If they're not gonna play in California, I've got my fingers crossed for a Vancouver date. I've always wanted to go there, and have never really had a good excuse to.

They are going to play Phoenix, but then, amy will still find an excuse to complain.
i just need them to play toronto, montreal, philly, boston, or anyplace in the state of NY. that's all I ask.

they won't play coachella. seriously folks...
Oh, that is wonderful. I heard about ATP earlier via Twitter while I was walking and stopped mid stride in awe. I was all set to try my hardest to go to that, but I just read that bit about 9 American shows. One or more of those will do. I do want to to go to a UK ATP at some point, but that would be hard when I'm already set to go to 3 festivals this year.

Once again - an anarchist, stringently anti-corporate band is not going to play a mega-corporate festival like Coachella. I'm not saying they won't play any Goldenvoice-run venues - after all, they've done The El Rey before - but playing a gigantic festival sponsored by Heineken, Playstation, and Microsoft is just not going to happen.
Edit: I don't say this with pleasure. I would love to see them at the Polo Field.
I figured this would be up to like 10 pages by now. Then again, it's not BoC. Good shit.
Depends on the post view settings?
and this apparently is the kind of great music I was missing out on while listening to ICP back in the late 90's... FML
Bonerific news!
Godspeed and Tim Hecker are playing at the same place on the same night? What the fuck is going on?
This is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
