Yea, I'm excited to see what that merger with C3 leads to.

We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
Pretty excited for LouFest, especially since i'll be living in St. Louis for the next few years. Grabbed my $50 2-day pass during the presale!
Looks like the C3 partnership is helping a lot.
Here's a slightly clearer version of someone's guesses.
The general consensus is that the headliners are The Killers and Wilco (most likely) or The Strokes and Wilco (less likely but more awesome).

I've posted my general comments on LouFest's FB page, but I am bummed by The Killers. It would have been nice to have some more upbeat, danceable stuff in the bigger bands. Trampled by Turtles don't count. Fitz and the Tantrums will be party time drinking festival fun. Ed Sharpe and Alabama Shakes are decent inoffensive midlevel festival bands. Disappointed in the far fewer number of local bands considering they are adding a stage.
Wilco, the National, Toro Y Moi, Local natives are all good in my book. Jim James could be great or dud. Hard to know.
Hunting has been part of our society since the first Europeans came over and shot buffalo and Native Americans and whatnot.

I think it was a purely financial decision, they sell more tickets than any other act on the bill. LouFest is not a destination festival, people aren't traveling across the country and world to go. Additionally, there just isn't a large enough market to have a FYF type lineup in St. Louis. I'm considering The Killers as a necessary evil.

The Strokes, Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs all would have been fine. Especially since it's not a destination fest. We don't need to draw people from far away.

Shit, the first year the headliners were Jeff Tweedy and She and Him.

I will be skipping this fest again this year.
There's 6 or 7 acts I want to see at Kanrocksas, if most of them fall on Saturday, I'll buy a pass for that day.

After digging into the mid level bands (most of those under Toro Y Moi I had never heard - or heard of), I am bummed that there are so many boring-ass bands.

I feel like St. Louis is doing a poor job of advertising the likely appearance of Bruce Campbell (as MalcolmJamalAwesome).
He should at least be a fifth-liner.
