Where did you hear 2-11? And I'm not surprised that it's not at O.Co again, it was all over the news the next day about how loud it was for those crybaby Alameda residents. Residential windows vibrating and shit.

Yeah. What awful people with families and interests of their own who don't want their fucking windows rattling close to midnight just so a bunch of teenagers and rave balls to shitty EDM.

Oh please. Those Alameda residents that complained - live adjacent to an international airport. They should have had the foresight that some noise was in their future - yeah even an outdoor concert, given their proximity to Oracle and O. Co. If you like the area but want guaranteed silence go live up in the Oakland hills, you whiny bitches. Piedmont or Montclair areas will do just fine, it's silent up there and gorgeous homes. Now go away. Go snark it up in a thread you actually have interest in.

You're right. Living by an international airport means that they should expect any and all types of noises and vibrations unrelated to air traffic late at night and not complain about it.

Oh no, you are definitely correct.

Noise coming out of jet engines 365 days a year
Noise coming out of some speakers for a couple hours one night

There is a reasonable difference here somewhere that warrants legitimate complaining

You miss the point, unsurprising given your relentless let-me-rave-bro-yolo stupidity. Were these residents told in advance that the volume of the music would be so loud it would rattle their windows? Were they given fair warning? Pretty sure that they were aware of the airport upon moving into the neighborhood and that that specific noise is something they've come to expect.

But yeah, whiney babies. Let us rave.

You should probably tirelessly reach for moot points in another thread/event that you have no personal interest in. You've never done that before, ever. Job well done on actually taking the time to find dorkfish's quote in a year-old thread, for this great debate.

There was loud noise and bass was dropped and now it's going to a new location. Get over it. But you won't. Guedita is either french for "I get the last word" or perhaps Korean for "I'm never wrong, I told you so".

Moving forward, let's make sure Insomniac places large speakers near Alameda and just blasts the noises of jet engines. No music. Profit.

Airports have curfews to be respectful to residents nearby.

Also, this is why raves should happen in the middle of nowhere. Look at all the internet arguing it causes.

We know they've used the (VIP) parking lot at the Shoreline to set up stages for concerts and festivals for several years now, but I don't think I've ever noticed the wording "Shoreline Ampetheater & Grounds at Mountain View. Has there been another festival where they've used this wording?

Lollapoolooza (while still a tour) had 2 or 3.

Rock the Bells, at most has had 3 there.

BFD, at most has had 5 (actual) stages, but 4 "stages," Main, Festival, Subsonic and Local. They'd used one large festival stage and "half'd" it so one band could perform while they did set change on the other side for the other band, but this year the festival stage was actually two separate stages in the parking lot.

I've never been to Warped Tour there, but they used to have like a dozen stages at Pier's 30/32 in SF right?

    Hey everyone,
I have two 2 day GA passes available for Beyond at the Shorline. These are hard tickets that came out to a little over $250 each with shipping and fees.

    So...

2 passes available for $225 each. I'm close to LA and am willing to meet up, if not I'm sure we can work out some way to get them to you!

Sorry for the random thread bump but I didn't see a thread for Beyond Bay Area 2014

They have done 7 stages at Shoreline for Warped Tour. They split the main stage into two stages, along with the two stages in main parking lot. They do two additional stages in the parking lot facing towards the concessions in the amphitheater and lastly the one on the grass near the beer garden.

Its just two much smaller stages.. They used sound equipment boxes to split it in half and alternate stage set times so no one plays at the same time.
