Good to know, i'm already looking at airfare. I'll be flying in either Thursday or Friday. Departing on Monday sounds good too.
Sooooooooo the house I had in mind doesn't book for only a few days. Back to the drawing board.

I can't find flights to Boston for under $380 yet. I'm hoping to pay almost half that lol.
I just did a search on kayak and I'm finding many nonstop roundtrip flights between LAX and Logan for under $350. But i'm tentatively planning on doing Wednesday-Wednesday so that might make the difference.

It looks like they will be playing two headlining shows which is great because that means lots of older songs.
"I is for “I Got You” which we’re pretty sure Wilco will play either Friday or Saturday."
I am also very excited Low will be there!

I don't know much about Dream Syndicate but i'm very interesterd. First North American show in 24 years.
The Dream Syndicate made its splash in 1982 with the debut album “The Days of Wine and Roses,” often cited among the top records in rock history and has been named as a major influence by such bands as Nirvana, Yo La Tengo, the Japandroids and the Black Crowes among many others. The appearance at the Solid Sound Festival is the only US appearance booked for 2013
Awesome, extremely happy about Dream Syndicate, Low, and Neko Case.

Marc Ribot was great at ATP 2011, don't miss that set
This festival looks so cool, I wish I liked this kind of music more so I would have incentive to go.
Edit: just realized Mark Mulcahy was the dude who did the Pete & Pete song, rad
Keeps getting better and better!
The Relatives
Story Pirates
White Denim
Yo La Tengo, playing a full set as well as live-scoring the film The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller

I think the Solid Ground camping isn't very convenient. It's only for 2 nights and you have to pack up your car Sunday before you go into the festival. I have inquired with Historic Valley Campground where I camped in 2010. They were only 2 miles from the fest and they had showers and you could have a fire. If anyone is looking to share a rental car and camping let me know. We would have to coordinate airports as well. So far I can't find anything under $500 or $600 to Albany or BDL. I would rather not fly into Laguardia but so far they are cheapest around $300. Boston is about $350. I'm hoping we get closer to the $250 range at some point with so many airports to choose from.
This is the best Solid Sound lineup yet.
I'm an hour away from North Adams but was waiting for the Firefly announcement before committing to Wilco and friends.
Help!

Doing my reasearch - So far i've checked out The Dream Syndicate's The Days of Wine and Roses and Medicine Show and Sam Amidon's I See The Sign and I love all 3! Dream Syndicate is definitely one of those bands making me say "why the fuck haven't I been listening to these guys for 20 years?" (VERY similar to early The Damned records) and Sam Amidon is an incredibly pleasant surprise - dark folk music in the same vein as A.A. Bondy.
