I saw Portishead in Santa Monica about 10 years ago, and believe me, this is NOT a live performance you would want to miss. If they do ever perform again, that is.

I saw them back in 95 (damn, has it been 12 years?) in Seattle and they were stunning live. It's good to hear that they're finally getting back to business. Looks like they had a good time.

....two things....first, FILTER Magazine has a pretty interesting article this month looking back on the Bristol scene...including a new interview with Geoff Barrows (who says the new album is set for within the year).

also, Kid Beyond just got added to the lineup for sunday....and he always does this stunning beatbox w/loops cover of "wandering star". I think that's the only portishead we're getting at the festival this year, but it's really well worth watching.
