Thread: Custom T-Shirt.

  1. #1

    Default Custom T-Shirt.

I made custom T-Shirts for my crew of friends (like 70 of us) who all show up to the Polo Grounds every year. We call ourselves Team Good Vibes. This year though I made shirts that either have Team Good Vibes on it and also ones that don't have team good vibes on it, for those of you who don't necessarily feel "connected" to TGV. The whole line up is on the back as well.

    There is three styles.
    1. Team Good Vibes with dark writing - this looks good on light t-shirts.
    2. Team Good Vibes Coachella shirt with white writing - these look good on dark T-Shirts.
    3. Non-Teamgoodvibes Coachella shirt with dark writting - again, this will look good on lighter t shirts.

There are lots of styles to choose from - hoodies, tank tops!!!, american apparel etc. Follow this link and choose from all the shirts with The Rainbows and the line up on the back.

Lots of love!!! See ya'll on the dance floor.

So did you silkscreen these shirts yrself or have them made? crazy props if you DIY them. How many colors are in the print? I really want to get my own silkscreen setup soon. I'm thinking about building a 6 to 8 color press from plans.

I was under the impression that silk screening is no more. It's just called a screen print. Am I wrong?

No your not wrong they're both one in the same. Technically it is a screen print seeing how actual silk made screens to pull the ink through are no longer used in the process. In the begining (thousands of years ago in asia) silk was strecthed out on the frame to pull the ink through thus the term silkscreening. Today silksreen is kinda a loose term. Anybody know if EMEK is making a poster for Chella this year?

Isn't this fun. I love your design!

I've done the same thing for the past 3 years. I end up printing about 10 extra and I give them away at the Festival. It seems that more and more people are doing it. I love looking for Coachella designs that are done by fans. I think they should do a contest out of it and hold a crowd vote by the Do Lab for a winner each year!

    Here's mine from last year!

yup this is right. today screenprinting is done using a nylon mesh screen because it provides better print quality than silk

The guy on the left is Arno Kammermeier from Booka Shade. The middle guy is Faris Badwan the lead singer of The Horrors and obviously Tiesto on the right.

I will think of this thread and chuckle to myself everytime I see a person with a Team Good Vibes shirt on getting beat up.

Here's what my '96 Hour Party People' crew will be wearing.

Hard to see in this pic, but the bands listed (in white text) are the ones we plan on seeing, schedule permitting.
On the back it will just say '96 Hour Party People'.
Should be arriving just in time...
