So much whining. If I want to go to a concert, I will be there on the day at 9am (or whenever they go on sale) and that means I more or less should be able to go. Did this for radiohead and missed out on tickets, but its worked otherwise and usually you score pretty decent seats. It's just what you do...

50% still on sale? There was only about 80 tickets for sale on ebay when I checked it today! At big day out there was whinging - there was also about 300 tickets being sold at any given time.

    Here's an observation...

did you really just miss out of going by "seconds"

I think not because you are posting this now when the show has been sold out for a good week now.

    sorry but WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,

bottom line is tickets were availabele for 2 weeks. i bought my first set then got my other set for my wife 4 days before it sold out. bottom line, u didnt do your homework so u lose. scalpers are scumbags and always will be, but goldenvoice did give loyal people a chance to get tickets at 50.00 below face value, then had a presale, then had the regular sale. cant blame them for a lineup that people want to see. i hate scalpers like everyone else, but u and ur friends had your chance.

Perhaps they should sell an unlimited number of ticktes, so everyone has a ticket at a reasonable price. I bet that would be a great time.

    Imagine This

    *Train Crossing*

*A person with a sad face w/o tickets*

For only $10 a week, less than $1.45 a day, starting from the last Coachella, you could have been holding tickets

*A happy person with tickets in hand*

    Coachella 2007

    Sold Out in 2 weeks

Some people have already made $20,000+ via ebay, not to mention the amount in blatant scams.

I've sold my ticket for face-value to a neighbor, as my friends were unable to purchase tickets merely hours after I purchased mine. I do not plan on attending another Coachella event unless you rethink your ticketing strategy, and I'm sure many others would agree.
Wow, I'm really fucking glad you didn't get your tickets. Lol.

to be honest, people have a right to be pissed about this. NO ONE had foreseen this back in early january. the general consensus was that most people could wait until early april to get tickets. dani was the only one telling us to buy tickets asap. i took her advice and told my whole group of friends to buy right away..but i still feel bad for the people that didnt get tickets.

RATM influenced the sales alot. After sunday tickets were gone, then 3 day passes sold out. Obviously you had to see it coming considering how huge ratms fan base is.

I dunno if you would call this a failure? Although I would think that something would be set in place like x amount of tickets per indvidual or something of the like, would hinder the process for individuals with bad intentions. Nonetheless all you can really do in these situations is be optomistic, smile pleasntly and be patient. Just remember that if people can screw each other over or help each other the former is always chosen 95% of the time. Don't get mad or upset about it, its just the way things are. Now be happy .

once again, just start saving earlier. the tickets didn't sell out for a couple weeks! scalping isn't a Goldenvoice problem, it's a problem for all concerts in general. you can't get rid of scalpers completely, but you can buy your tickets earlier......

I'm glad you're not going! I just burned four three day passes so scalpers can get even more money for their tickets!

This is pointless. Tickets were on sale. People bought them. There's always scalpers. You weren't a few seconds too late; you were two weeks too late. You could have bought them during that open window where they were on sale. You could also have listened to Dani telling people that they were close to selling out and got on it.

    "Coachella 2007: Failure"

the only failure I can see is yours (or your friends') for not getting tickets on time. millions of music fans, an evergrowing US festival community, more hype surrounding this year's lineup than ever before, 60,000 person capacity at the fields. not to mention multiple warnings from dani.

    failed.

Exactly. Things are gonna be the way they are. A trend is a trend it doesn't mean it will always be true. Just relax and be patient. What needs to happen will, if we get tickets then we'll get tickets; if we don't, we don't it's just that simple. Now get extremely happy .

How have the "people" been left out?

Do you always blame others when you are unable to attain your goals?

From where do you get your $20,000 figure?

How awesome would it be if Failure got back together to play this show?

Not a lot of acts I wouldn't miss to see that one. GV needs to get on that for next year.
