Default Backpacks - carrying stuff inside...?

    Hey Y'all!
Fricken stoked!... won't be long now! So I was wondering how people are gonna be carrying their stuff into the Fest? Do most people bring backpacks and carry them around? Leave most stuff behind since there is in's/out's this year?? I was looking to buy a little one-shoulder backpack but wanted to see what everyone else is doin'??? later!

I am bringing a Camelbak, I hope they will be more lenient than the FAQ page says. Hydration is key.

Bring a bag or backpack of some sort, and rent a locker. Getting a locker is seriously the smartest money you will spend all weekend.

I think locker was a waste of money...barely used it and having to walk back and forth to it wasn't worth it.

You can bring a Camelbak, but don't expect to keep your water reservoir inside, even if its empty. Sure you can always try, but I can also try to bring a fake conjoined twin in as well and argue that we only need 1 ticket for both of us.

because i like to jump and dance and excuse my way through the crowds, i'm opting for a fanny pack (my sister is letting me borrow her from grade school - she's a university teacher now. yeah, she takes care of her s#!+).

in it, i'll have my camera, wallet, schedule, phone and other "goodies." i was opting for a fanny pack from ebay where i can carry a water bottle becuse "hydration IS key."

just don't take everything with you. and lockers and walking back to your camp site will be a waste of money and time, respectively.

I have been to a total of six days at coachella, and have successfully entered with my camel pack six times.

The lockers are a hell of a lot closer than your car will be. Maybe a 10 minute walk compared to at least a 30 minute walk or more to get back to your car. Then again, I stay at a hotel...I don't camp. Since they are allowing in and outs this year, if you camp it probably doesn't make as much sense to get a locker this year since camping is much closer to the entrance than the parking lot is.

I love having the locker so that I can store things like sunscreen, wet wipes, merchandise, and a light jacket for the evening. I can't imagine carrying that shit around all day.

I am camping AND have a locker to avoid carrying around stuff all day. Stuff like my camera, towels, extra layer of clothes for the evenings, etc will probably be brought in Friday and stay until Sunday night. I'll probably still walk back to camp at least once during the day, but if I want something quickly, I don't want to walk that far.

So, all those other years when they said they were not allowed, they were just kidding?

The official rules on the website clearly state no camelpacks and have for years.

Just because the rules state something is not allowed does not mean that someone sometime might get past some security guard with something. Plan accordingly. No whining.

I've brought some sort of backpack every year I've gone and I've always been glad to have it. I would advise against one shoulder packs if you plan on doing a lot of dancing - they tend to bounce around and get really fucking annoying. I brought one last year and ended up just leaving it on the ground by my feet and hoping none of dancing masses would step/trip on it.

I'm bringing a medium--ish messenger bag with extra pockets to hold my camera, phone, wallet and water. I also plan to do a lot of dancing, so whatever the consequences are of that choice i'll deal with. imho having a backpack strapped on will be a sweaty, heavy nightmare!

I'm old and dull looking and they confiscated a cheap ballpoint pen from me one year. guess they were worried I would stab someone in the Sahara or something.
